Great pub by the sea wall. We had a few drinks and some food and there was a nice vibe. It wasn’t too loud here or anything and the pub was also spacious so you don’t feel crowded inside. It has an English theme inside and there are also pictures that depict English culture and heritage. I personally had the bangers and mash and while it looks small, it was actually quite filling. Tasted rich and the sausages were juicy. Definitely recommend and would come back the next time I’m in the area

Lions Pub is Ideally placed near to the port, easy walking distance to Gastown and the shopping district. The menu benefits from a variety of pub favourites nicely presented with generous servings. There is plenty of outside space that is not hindered by the busy road beside. The sunny aspect of the outside terrace adds to the appeal.Definitely worth a visit.

Visiting from Winnipeg on a rainy day, we went looking for a fish and chips dinner. Lions Pub was within easy walking distance and though busy, there was room for us to grab a table. Our server was phenomenal -recommending a local BC beer (which when it wasn't to my liking didn't get billed to us). We ordered cauliflower bites, calamari and fish and chip dinners, with Stella and Guiness. The food was perfect and our server very attentive. The atmosphere was lively, warm and full of chatter. We met a couple at the table next to us from Liverpool, England and spent part of our stay at the pub conversing with them. A definite A+ moment from our travels in BC.

A good traditional English style pub in downtown Vancouver. Three dishes off the main menu were not available. Tried the Yorkies. Wouldn't recommend them unfortunately. After trying them, we decided to head somewhere else for dinner. More of a drinking venue, I would suggest.

Trying to find a taste of London here in Vancouver and managed to find this pub. Although not the same, still very close in terms of vibe, menu and food taste. We ordered classic fish and chips along with bangers and mash and a sticky toffee pudding to end it all. I will definitely try the cottage pie next time as it looked amazing.

Sat outside, in the sunshine, watching the world go by drinking a couple of beers and red. Very relaxed place with excellent waiting staff. Good beer selection. Very relaxing.

I've wanted to try a Scotch egg for ages and this one was very good! Perfectly cooked (yolk still a bit soft) and I even liked the mustard sauce and I'm usually not one to eat a lot of mustard. The plate that looks like a cast iron skillet is adorable. I also enjoyed the beef stuffed Yorkshire puddings served with jus (instead of gravy - so tasty it didn't matter much though). The beef was tender and not dry (and a generous portion) and the YP had crispy and soft bits so felt very freshly made. I've always avoided this place because I had a dry, not-so-tasty sandwich here many, many years ago, but both dishes were exceptional today. I enjoyed being out on the patio and the service was also friendly and great. Only change I would make is to use a glass with the water instead of a plastic glass but love that they brought a whole bottle of cold water out (and I just used the glass and ice from my cocktail when I finished and I know I could have just asked for a glass if I didn't have that). I love that both dishes were served with steak knives to make them easy to eat. This was a Tuesday afternoon.

If you have never had a scotched egg I recommend stopping by and giving one a try. The bed of mustard is a nice garnish to dip it in. I have also tried their steak sandwich which was also nicely done. There is a good beer selection on tap here. The fries may be a little inconsistent and could used to be double fried to ensure they have a crispy shell, they are good when crispy but a little weak when soft. I think their gravy could use a little acid/vinegar or citrus to it as it is fairly tame. But otherwise still enjoyable and gets the job done for dipping.

We went 2 night in a row, and both times everything was great. Had the beef dip, cottage pie (huge and like made by your grandma if she was a great cook), turkey club, and the salmon dinner. The blistered carrots that came with the salmon are the best carrots I've ever had. Very nice house salad dressing. Servers were also great!. My bf used to go 50 (!) years ago, and he was so glad it was still there and still good.
