Me and my wife went in there the other day. It was close to closing time and we were hesitant to go because an older lady that worked there was very unfriendly and unhelpful. We went in anyway, and later discovered that she was terminated. My wife was helped by two very friendly ladies. They were very helpful and a third young girl working there also seemed very friendly.I think they realized that this one former employee was really hurting business. I’m glad they were able to rectify it. I highly recommend going there again as they have definitely improved a lot!

Was in the store for at least 20 mins before I could even find someone to help me. There are many options for fabrics and other supplies but most things are quite pricey, to get the sales you are required to buy a membership card that lasts a year. Many of the items, besides fabric, you can get at other places easier and cheaper. Will return for fabrics but won't be searching for other things there.

If you like to be berated by store staff, treated like a shoplifter and treated like the mud beneath their boots from the moment you walk through the door then I highly recommend this location. They are lacking in selection and i felt extremely pressured to purchase when I picked up a bolt end to see if it would be enough fabric for my current project. Staff was constantly watching me from the second I stepped in the store. Ridiculous customer service and extremely irritating especially when I’ve done nothing but walk in the door. I’ve never in any other fabricland been told that I had to leave my cut fabric at the cutting table while i do the rest of my shopping. Maybe instead of pushing away the younger generation who are sewing, you could show the same curtesy you do to the older generations.

Copy paste from FacebookOn January 26th 2021, an incident occurred at North Battleford Fabricland. Nimosom Simon Sapp, accompanied by two of his sons, went in to purchase broad cloth for ceremonial purposes. He had given an employee named Lois instructions on cutting the cloth for him, 7 meters each of 4 different colours. Lois suggested other fabric, not fully understanding that specific types and colours are needed for ceremony, and her suggestions were promptly rejected (Cree elders are very frank when speaking English). She began to treat mushom in a demeaning manner, at this point, repeating the instruction seven metres?" each time she cut

Omg the ppl that work here are very rude and racist they follow you around the store assuming your a thief. I then engaged in a heated verbal argument coming the employee of fabric land more like racist land to me, she told me that I had to leave and they dont serve my kind there. I've filled a lawsuit against these European squatters!

Customer service was great. They offer a membership and get all discounts all year long. Which make their prices much more easier to take. But with discounts like bogo or 50% 65% off can't really complain and the selection is VAST....from fabric and sewing notions to embroidery, stitchwork, crochet or knitting, quilting and yarn go check em out they have it all. Staff will help you find anything you need and give you some friendly advice. As well they have a week stocked Bargain rack filled with lots of beautiful fabric and deals on the regular. Love fabricland and will be getting a membership again.

I expect a publically made, personal apology from the racist employee and that she not only be sanctioned but sent for anti racism training. Short of that, my four quilting groups and my sewing society will all be finished shopping with fabricland, in favor of a company with whom we share values of inclusion and kindeness

Hey Fabricland! DO BETTER. This culturally insensitive employee should be fired and this family should be gifted with as much fabric as they need. Your store should be so grateful and honored to even operate and profit on the traditional lands of Indigenous peoples, let alone provide sacred fabrics to local First Nations communities. Educate yourselves, your staff and incorporate Indigenous cultural sensitivity training into your corporate business model. Create a welcome and SAFE space for Indigenous peoples, who now you're aware, shop at your store.

I'm not much of a seamstress, but the times I have attempted projects I find what I need and have gotten friendly helpful advice! I even brought my own sewing machine in once and they helped me with tips on filling the bobbin... my nemesis, ha! I feel fortunate that we have such a nice store in a community our size.
