The beds were not comfortable, the ceiling of the 3 bedrooms upstairs are so short and many of us hit our head few times.False advertisement and pictures on the website. One of the bathrooms was locked and was very inconvenient. I don't recommend this cottage especially for families with kids. It's not safe at all.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in yet! Clean, modern and well-equipped with fabulous shower pressure and a comfortable bed. Wifi, complimentary pancake-ingredients and washing machines to boot! You’ll almost mistake this for a boutique hotel

Super clean and tidy marine themed hostel. Kitchen and bathrooms were organized, full equipped for a well earned shower or a quick meal if you feel to cook like at home. Complimentary pancakes were great and thank god for maple syrup instead of cheap corn syrup. Other guests staying for the night were really nice too and we had a great time chatting about all kind of fiery subjects. The location is more than perfect as you can easily walk around to admire the pitoresque town of Twilingate or the replenish on goods along your visit. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the bed in room #5 (the one we rented): mattress wasn't comfortable at all and quite short as my feet were exceeding from the bed (I'm 5'10'' by the way). This only flaw cost my rating of 5/5 since I was expecting a great night of sleep from this place to drive 450km down to Fortune the next morning. Otherwise, I recommend this place for sure !

Great hostel, arrived after check in time and just called to see if they had beds available, 5 min. Later someone was there to check us in.Great wifi, allowed for updating my computer. Kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher (which is a first for me at a hostel) check outs at noon but if you take care of the bedding they won't mind if you stay a bit longer. The place is very clean, the only negative (if you care, I didn't, I've stayed in noisier places) is that it's a bit noisy, it's all wood so if someone upstairs is walking around and/or using the bathroom you'll hear it. But then again if you stay in a hostel you always have other people making noises you just have to be mindful of other that might be still sleeping.All in all a unexpected stay that turned out pretty well.

Quaint, clean, and cozy. Not to mention conveniently located 1) on the Harbourfront, 2) next to a coffee shop/artisan market and 3) across the street from a brewpub (Split rock).It's got a couple bathrooms/showers, a full shared kitchen, a patio with a BBQ, and a laundry suite.I'm 6'0 and we (purposefully) booked The Loft room. My back felt it the next day (but that was my own doing) but I have zero regrets and would go out of my way stay there again in a heartbeat!According to these other reviews, people need to read the descriptions before blindly booking as they are complaining about some of the most charming aspects of this lovely hostel that are clearly laid out in front of them ahead of time!

Upon arrival the house was spotless & adequately supplied for our family of 10. The location on Main Street was perfect with great parking & accessibility. This was a great location for all our adventures. Highly recommend!

I stayed here in August 2016 (I think right after they opened) because the ferry to Fogo was closed due to wind. They beautiful girl who runs this hostel (with her family?) was so friendly and helpful - it was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed. She had fresh baked good when I arrived. The entire house was clean and perfect for my stay. It was one of the highlights on my trip to Newfoundland - I would definitely stay here again for sure.

Nice view. Provided pancakes mixture and maple sirop make a good breakfast. The sleep could be compromised if travellers with different agendas are sharing the place since the floor, doors and plumbing are noisy. Locks provided on lockers are identical and all keys open all lock. So bring your lock.

Very clean and well maintained hostel.Excellent touches like coffee and local jam. Would definitely stay here again.

We were 3 in a brunk and it was perfect to share the house with a couple who was staying upstairs. Nice pancakes for breakfast. Poor insonorisation, but with 5 quiet people, it was perfect. Wonderful view! Fantastique location. Close to the hike that every hiker should discover!
