Monte Carlo Inn - Barrie Suites

Booked the Napoleon suite for a 2 night stay. From very beginning the red flags were up!! They charged the full fee PLUS double the deposit fee at check-in (I've NEVER had that happen before). The room was dirty. Bloodstained bed sheets, dirty blankets, no fitted sheet. Cigarette burn mark in the washroom tub. The restaurant only open for 3hrs for the complimentary breakfast"... 7-10am. We went at 915 and the place was a mess... Tables full of dirty dishes

I booked this hotel prior to coming back from our vacation. I received a message when we landed saying that our room was cancelled because our credit card was rejected. However, we had just paid for our parking with the same card and there was no problem with our card. It's obvious that our card numbers were not properly inputted in the system. We ended up getting a small room at the Monte Carlo, and there was no plug in the bath tub so no bath for me. They still charged me the same rate as the larger room. I called the Manager when I got back home. I explained what happened, and she said that she would check the room and call me right back. She never did call me.

Stayed at this place and it was the worst in 20+ years of staying in hotels all over sw Ontario. Customer service was horrible from start to finish. They don't send confirmation like they say, they bill cc without confirmation on price. The beds don't have fitted sheets so you get wrapped up in the sheet that isn't even tucked in all all sides. The bed we has had broken springs that went through my back when I slept. The room was ice cold and the heater did not work properly., had to get up a few times during the night to turn it on. The phone did not work, nor did the TV. Not even local tv. Lol the continental breakfast is a joke. We turned back in our tickets it was a joke. You don't get a receipt so i have no idea what they are charging me as they could not tell me after 4 calls to them. Front desk called around to other rooms, trying to get them to say we were too loud one night..lol joke on Front desk, those rooms joined in on our little gathering and told us what they were up to. This is NOT a good hotel for kids or teams of any kind...stay away! There are other options on the same street. Don't give this hotel any money.

Stayed one night for my childs birthday and I wish I picked a different hotel. Pool was closed for maintenance, the elevator seemed like it would just drop at any second and we felt unsafe using it. Found an ant in the bathroom. Was very noisy. We could here some people having a good time at the very end of the hall when we were at the elevator, very far distance yet still so loud. Heard random banging at all hours, was not easy to sleep. The bed also was not comfortable, I woke in pain. Front desk staff was nice, breakfast staff was a bit rude.

Pay for a fireplace and no fireplace the tv was fuzzy and small took forever for the tub to drain and the hot water was yellow. The vending machines did not work. The ice machine was outside of our room and very loud. Not worth the money

Very nice and comfyThe suite was so clean and looked gorgeous. Good Wi-Fi, continental breakfast.However it didn't have a kettle and the coffee machine didn't work. Also I wish the shower head could be portable for a better experience.

I read the reviews and was worried. But I had a really great stay. I stayed 5 nights. I found the room to be very clean and sanitary, the room wasn’t super dated like other reviews say, and I had their breakfast every morning. Limited, yes. But not bad. Fresh coffee and tea, English muffins, toast, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, danishes, boiled eggs, etc. The pool WAS open. Friendly staff. Overall no complaints

We had an excellent stay at the Monte Carlo Inn - Barrie! We had the deluxe king Jacuzzi suite for 2 nights on new years eve and the room was very clean, Jacuzzi tub was sparkling clean and fresh.Breakfast was nice in the morning, typical continental breakfast.If I were to complain it would be over the mattress protector and investing in some fitted sheets. The bed was fitted with a top sheet as the fitted sheet.The mattress protector had some holes in it and some blood stains around the edges but there were no bugs in our room.If they're gross like that, toss them out!All the linens were white and clearly bleached, freshly changed. Which was nice.

I stayed at the Monte Carlo Inn - Barrie Suites for two nights and had a great experience. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The highlight of my stay was definitely the swimming pool - it was well-maintained and the perfect temperature for a relaxing swim. The complimentary breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, with a good variety of hot and cold options to choose from.Overall, I would highly recommend the Monte Carlo Inn - Barrie Suites to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the Barrie area. With its great amenities and friendly staff, it's the perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers. I'm giving this hotel four stars because it exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and convenience, and the swimming pool and breakfast were definitely highlights of my stay.

Easy access right off the highway. Clean rooms. Stayed in a suite and it was a little smaller than it appeared in the pictures, but overall nicely laid out. Staff was friendly, but we had to wait to see if our room was ready an hour after check in time. A good stay for the price.
