Prices are definitely better. The place is really old and appears unclean. Choose meat or vegetables wisely as they might have gone bad or not of good quality. Low quality takes the cheapness.

Found all items (bottle sauces and dried shitake mushrooms) I wanted to make dumplings but here are some key observations:-Cleanliness: the store is dirty and cramped-Product Quality & Selection: fruits, veg and meat are not very fresh and not many chili sauces available-No Customer Service: staff ignore you as they chat in Mandarin when ringing up your items and will not help you find items either-Did not provide a receipt: was in a rush to get out of there and noticed later that the chatting cashier did not give me a receipt -- watch them as they scan your items (as other reviewers have commented) because they add a service fee if you pay by credit card and do not tell youShop here only in a pinch and know what you want beforehand. Then, go in and get out quickly.

We were visitors from the UK. We went for shopping at the place around 5pm on 29/04/23.The produce was fresh and reasonably priced, and our first purchase went smoothly. However, things took a sour turn when we tried to buy some strawberries and pay the second time. The cashier, who was a pretty Thai lady (by Asian standards), started shouting at us for telling her our card was a debit card. We used the same Revolut debit card we had used for the first transaction, but the machine wouldn't accept it, so we politely asked her to switch it to credit mode. That's when she started behaving like we had insulted her ancestors! She kept ranting and raving for a good five minutes, insisting that we were clueless about payment methods and that we should be ashamed of ourselves for not knowing the types of our Revolut card (even though we work in finance, ha!).She tried to show that she understand all the cards in the world and how the cards are set up in other parts of the country by asking us to show the card. We showed her the Revolut card and she talked to herself that was a credit card and changed the setting to credit card to make the transactions got through. Once it got through, she kept shouting to the whole place like we were wrong the whole time and she was right. Revolut card is a debit card and we should know better as we are working in the financial sector for 20 years! She knows nothing and has a big mouth with rude attitude.Anyhow, there is a reason why she is good looking but still working there. We still recommend for the shopping there, just avoid that woman!

I don't usually write negative reviews but this supermarket is just about the worst I have ever been to. The service from cashiers to their butchers and delivery workers have the worst attitude and manners. I have seen their butchers fully cuss out an older lady for not ordering quick enough. The aisles are tiny which is fine, but their delivery guys always speed down the aisles with boxes and gets angry if you don't get out of their way fast enough even if it means bumping into another customer. Super stressful experience. Been coming here for years, finally reached my limit.

A dirty store with loud, rude staff and zero customer service, but also with the most cheaply priced fresh produce. I don't mind going there because I only go to fill gaps in my shopping (buy few items quickly) and not really to hang out or have a fun time lol. Go there with low expectations in terms of how you expect them to treat a valued customer" and you'll be alright. They don't care. Also don't expect a place where you can comprehensively do all your shopping.. I don't find it fit for that. At the very least

The Fantastic Hua Sheng Chinese Supermarket - open 7 days - on the East side of Spadina north of Dundas, is an INFLATION BUSTER with its terrifically low prices without compromising quality of its fruit and produce sold outside on clement days, and its other complete shopping staples in its vast interior with fast and efficient cashier service. Your wallet will love you!

Fresh produce, authentic Chinatown supermarket with narrow aisles and meat/seafood service counters in the back! Constantly well stocked items, cashiers are quick to check out your items. Lots of diverse products and generally has the items you need for Asian cooking. Staff are all quick and straight to the point. Also helps to know or bring an image of what you're looking for if it's something foreign. Worth popping in for a quick shop. Just be warned, it's always busy here!

Rude service. Decided to close at 830 one day as I rushed in to get a few things based on their posted closing time of 9p.m. One employee literally wouldn't move as I tried to go down an aisle, blocking me, no explanation so I walked around the aisle and back up from the other side. Literally yelling at me to get out. It's 835. I respect a business' decision to close early at their discretion, but it was ridiculous. Between that and the generally rude behavior and being quite sure they swap out seafood on you when you go to the front to pay first, finally done with this place.

One of the Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese Super Market in Toronto downtown China town. Good customer service. Lots of selections of East Asian Fruits, Vegetables, Fishes, Seafoods, and Meats are available on lowest price. Also Chinese and Other East Asian products are available too. Enjoy Shopping Here. Cash payment much preferred.
