Our bartender (I think his name was liam?) was extremely charismatic, helpful, and hilarious. I had the best margarita of my life here, it was salted to perfection, in my life a bartender has never been so talented.

This used to be one of my favourite places to go. Really good prices and adorable food and drinks. Last time we went the service was terrible.We tried to order food and drinks, and the server said she could only get us the food order but not the drinks.We tried to order drinks with a different server, but he turned us down and said “you had too much to drink and you have a red face” which wasn’t true. We were at the restaurant for only 5-10 minutes and have not had anything served to us. We were not intoxicated or disturbing the peace so there was no reason for the server to turn us down, very strange experience.We waited for our food which never came, so we ended up leaving. The only reason this is a 3 star is because all my prior experiences were good

red room is quite literally THE BAR its the ur-bar: a place where u can drink and eat food that is on par with something u might put together at home and just chill out!!! welcoming vibe that reminds me of the shared struggle of humanity and fills me with goodwill toward my fellow man. ill pray that this place stays in business for a long time. also awesome place to study

Amazing casual spot for cheap food and even cheaper pints. It's not fancy food but you get what you pay for. I'm really happy supporting businesses that manage to remain affordable in downtown Toronto.Always friendly and exceptionial service too!

The first time my girlfriend and I had enjoyed drinks and ordered nachos, everything was great, service, food quality, drink strength. No complaints. we came back about 3 months later to be “cut-off” as soon as we sat down and could only order food, the waiter had said my face was red (it was -20 outside) and I was “too intoxicated”. I was so surprised and couldn’t understand how they could possibly be accusing me of this and it was quite embarrassing as I obviously never had anything to drink. We took our business elsewhere. Very rude and dissatisfied

I can confidentially say I have never paid for worse food in my life. Ordered caesar salad (pretty hard to mess up) and it was a joke. It’s listed as romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan cheese, cucumbers, and garlic bread. It came out as far chunks of iceberg lettuce with dressing not mixed in and the croutons were unseasoned pieces of whole wheat bread. There was no cheese on it at all and the “garlic bread” was whole wheat bread toasted with plain butter. Total waste of money and time. Wish there was a way to leave 0 stars

Most reviews are out of date. This place has gone down in quality and affordable. It's 2023 and this bar is dead and not worth anyone's business. The menu has increased in price and the signs on the wall are wrong. The portions are just different.
