Pyramid Games and Collectables

I've bought things from them a few times. The first time, I had to listen to the cashier yelling & swearing at a woman over the phone. The second time, the owner tried to sell me a $3 game for $30. I said no, he kept trying to convince me to buy so I can sell the game back to him if I ever need the money (the example he used was if he ran me over with his car & I needed to pay for hospital bills)

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a game store, I happened to come across this place by chance and I will never go back. The owner was extremely foul mouthed and talked mostly about how people owe him money and how upset he is that he isn’t getting paid back. Every other word was a swear of some sort. Took me 45 mins to get a price on a gaming console because the glass shelving units were so packed that you can’t see any price tags and he was more concerned about the friend of a friend that just came in who might have money they owe him then helping a customer. He then proceeded to tell me one price and after taking a closer look he decided to go higher then originally stated. The console was filthy and not worth the money at all but he would not budge. Then he just complained about no one ever buying anything and how he’s ready to leave Nanaimo because of it, after today I can see why.

Not a bad selection of games, and somtimes a good deal can be found, however most items drastically overpriced. Paid 50 for a zippo, after owner refused to negotiate, brought home and found the original sale tag inside the box. 10 dollars. Major rip off. Owner also seems eccentric and spends more time discussing conspiracy theories than ringing you up, I enjoy a good chat but I've left the store a solid 45 minutes later than intended because I couldn't find a polite way to excuse myself from the conversation.

The guy is never open or there. If by chance your lucky enough he's open . It's a weird vibe where he or his friend" seem either paranoid or don't want you there."

The owner has a foul mouth! He must be selling something with all the street people coming in and out.He prices items and then tells you he wants more than the sticker price.He claims to be a Christian but has no problem purchasing what appear to be stolen goods (sealed) games etc.I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Wow... I called to ask a question and he was immediately rude.. Don't buy from this guy. I asked him if he was interested in buying a game that was hard to come by and right away goes oh I don't know about that (I have done my research lol) and proceeds to tell me he uses an app to determine his prices. I asked the app and he got real weird and stammered in his words, immediately rushing me off the phone. SHADY!

Really gone down hill over the last few months, never open on time, seems to be open when he's in the mood" prices were expensive before

They have a great selection, don't get me wrong but they adjust their prices on the regular. They may charge you double the sticker price or half the sticker price. There is no price set in stone. When they try to find a price. They add a shipping price to it even though they have it in the store. Kinda shady. I understand a business has to make money but you can't just make prices up and charge shipping costs when it's in my hand in the store and guaranteed you didn't pay shipping costs.

If the high prices aren't enough to put you off, the owner's foul-mouthed and unfriendly volubility may well be. It's hard to imagine what he thinks is good business practice. This is the kind of local business that makes shopping online a pleasure.

Don't expect them to be open during their own buisness hours. Out of 5 trips to visit (difficult with a young baby) it was only open once during their 'open hours'.Once I finally got inside the selection is pretty good, although expect prices to be that of excellent condition items on ebay, even if condition is very much used.
