Pet Valu

I absolutely love going to the Elliott Lake Pet Valu, as a dog owner with a dog with sudden onset food allergies and tummy sensitivities the staff were incredibly helpful! Alison in particular was very attentive and made sure to show me many options for my dog, her dogs (Irish wolfhounds I believe) were adorable and so friendly, big dogs are not my favourite (childhood fear) but Alison was incredibly understanding and taught me how to introduce myself to them. My dog responded very well to the food she suggested and I couldn’t be more grateful! I will definitely be returning anytime I have an issue or just want to cuddle a giant dog!

It's always disappointing to have to leave a negative review, especially in an already small town where businesses need all the support they can get but it doesn't mean they can get away with mistreatment of customers. I am using my Mother's account here to complain about my personal experiences at the Elliot Lake location, the store itself is great and stocked, but my complaints lie with the staff, especially the owner of the Irish wolf hounds. Extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Staff doesn't greet you warmly and offer help or knowledge, and God forbid I have to ask her or another employee for help, they react like I'm interrupting their social time. They need to be reminded or re trained on how to treat customers, they (wolfhound lady) have given me such a bad vibe each time I come in for supplies, that I've decided to now give my business to Debbie at her shop, who is by the way very friendly and helpful and experienced and highly recommended.

I frequent the Elliot Lake Pet Valu often. I have always found the staff helpful and friendly. I have a young puppy and needed some advice on best collar and outside tie off lines. Was provided with a couple of options and was able to return items that didn't quite work out with no problems.

I was absolutely appalled at the review a customer left complaining about a employee that she referred to as wolfhound lady, I personally know this employee who always treats everyone with total respect and gives fantastic customer advice and service,I hope this company realizes that they have a great employee and should completely ignore the ignorant customer complaint!!

Good selection and well stocked. Depending who is on shift, sometimes in attentive. I was ignored for quite a while as I wandered around looking for something. I deliberately waited to see if anyone would ask if I needed help. This was on 2 out of 4 occasions. The Manager was present.

I love this store. The staff in this store are very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and always offer to carry me purchases to our car. Kendra is the best pet store staff member I have ever dealt with in Elliot Lake. I went into pet value in Espanola, I needed cat food, I left the store, the young man was a smart alec, so I left, and went home to Pet Value in Elliot Lake.There are 3 pet stores in Elliot Lake, I will only buy from Pet Value. Thank you, Kendra, and all staff, I have would never change.
