This extremely bright individual (Vic Lima- The Owner of JVL) operates equipment in developed communities without insurance. My parked truck was hit by his excavator in West Harbour in July, 2017 causing $11,000 damage to the front end and this low life has done everything he can to avoid responsibility and costs. He's been unable to provide valid insurance and as a result will be sued by Intact insurance company. Myself and the insurance company have recovered zero costs eight months later. Out of the gate, he was confrontational, untruthful and unwilling to help the process a single bit. I've reached out many times only to find an assenine goof on the other end of the line. He's not a moral guy. I HIGHLY recommend staying away from this company!!!

Our experience with JVL Excavating, Vic Lima (the owner), and Jason (excavator operator) were nothing short of excellent. We had the misfortune of needing emergency excavation work because plumbers pulling a new water line from the street failed. But Jason was a magician with the backhoe and performed the minimum amount of damage to the yard as he trenched his way up a 30 foot incline to find the pipe so it could be relaid. Even more appreciated than his talents with the backhoe, were his willingness to jump out and grab a shovel or pitch-in in any other way he could.In addition to the immediate work needed, they were able to also take down a tree we intended to remove, pull the entire stump, perform preliminary excavation for a workshop we intend to build next year, and also level a parking pad all at the same time. They were sensitive to our economic issues and kept the price extremely reasonable.We plan to have them back to deliver crushed rock for the parking pad after we finish the preparations and also for the final excavation for the workshop next year.We would have no hesitation at all to recommend them without reservation.
