Dr Mark Lee

So far I am very unhappy with my experience with this Dr's administration.I was referred to his clinic last year, was waiting a long time to hear back so I called to see if there was any progress on my referral and his office told me not to call there - that it was my Dr's reception only who can call. My Dr's office said they received the referral and we would have to wait for them to call with an appointment. Then ten months later I had my Dr's office call again and Dr. Lee's office said they never received my referral. So, I was re-referred. Then today, after booking time off work and checking in for my appointment, I was told by Dr. Lee's receptionist that he wasn't in the office and my appointment was rescheduled.. No one told me about this and my Dr's office said they had not heard anything from Dr Lee's clinic. To put the icing on the cake, I had to pay for parking just to park and then leave 5 minutes later. Now I have to book another afternoon off of work for this. I feel like I have been suffering for so long while waiting to see this doctor.. What if I had a life threatening issue? Certainly someone could become very ill or die in the length of time it's taking me to get in for my colonoscopy/endoscopy. Absolutely ridiculous. I hope his bedside manner is better than his reception....

Dealing with this doctors receptionist is an absolute NIGHTMARE. She’s incredibly rude and unprofessional. She will talk over you, not listen, and hang up on you. Patients are terrified of what is going on with their body and it’s incredibly unprofessional in the medical field to be SO rude and unprofessional. Dr. Lee could be a fantastic doctor but he really needs to hire a new receptionist who actually has compassion and respect for the patients coming into his office.

Had lots drs appointments over the years with at least 4/5 drs this one is by far the worst. Get very rushed, not through enough, as soon as the first set of tests came back somewhat fine he basically said it’s almost nothing. Issues no further testing even though i said my symptoms r getting worse. My other dr from a different specialty had to order tests he should have been ordering.While getting a scope done and I was supposed to be asleep for, he started BEFOFE I even fell asleep. At least check and make sure especially for a invasive procedure

Not impressed with this office administration. Was referred by my doctor (sent multiple times) and I myself have left a voice-mail following up on status with no response whatsoever. What a waste of a year waiting on them when I desperately need an appointment. Have given up on them and asked my doctor to refer me to a higher rated gastro as clearly there are issues with this one.

I think DrLee is very nice, easy to talk to, and ifriendly doctor.This is my first colonoscopy with him and is very caring.What ever questions I had...he answered.I am so happy I have him for my gastroenteritis.You have to have some one you can trust and who also listens to what you have to say.Debra

Wouldnt listen to what i was trying to explain to him during my first appointment and he basically admitted hebdidnt know what was up (with the tone that he wanst going to try very hard). During his physical exam he proceeded to tell me what hurt me and what didnt even though i was telling him what hurt me. After my finsl blood test as the last resort....he never called to explain the results. I called the receptionist who said thats not their role...called again and was supposed to hear back within a week for the explanation. Left another voicemail and still nothing. Save your self some time and disappointment ...if you have been medical frustrations before...seek another doctor as Lee will pnly add to the frustrations. Not a very tuned in doctor if u ask me.

Dr Mark Lee is an excellent gastroenterologist. He speaks very clearly has caring attitude.

I do not understand all the negative reviews about doctor Lee.I have had a gastroenterologist for over 15 years now. The last 12 years have been with doctor Lee. I find him to be Reserved and thoughtful. He cares about me and my condition. When he does colonoscopies I find I have little pain afterwards. He guided me towards the drug that would do the most good for my financial situation.

My mom had gastroscopy with this doctor, he was not happy that she refused to be under for the procedure. He was so rough with her during the procedure that she cried after. It is like he enjoyed causing her pain. She is 74. He told me that she did not do well without anesthetic and she should need it next time. I told him she has a allergies to it. He scheduled the procedure for 9:30am and showed up at 12pm! We are looking for another specialist, this is not acceptable!

I thank Dr Mark Lee for his thoroughness and competence!I believe due to his ethical performance he saved me from big trouble down the road!Dr Lee took the time to explore my colon to its furthest extent, all the way to my appendix area, and in doing so, identified a 5 cm potentially troublesome growth that I believe previous Docs did not get to. I am cancer free thanks to his thorough intervention. A big deal!All correspondence from me by phone and email to his office wasreturned in good time.In this crazy COVID climate, I really must thank Dr Lee and his team for saving my life in this past year!MP Alarie
