What a fantastic 14 day cruise through the greek islands of the Cyclades! Every part of the Poseidon Charters experience was seamless and the arrangements were flawless, everyone on the crew was awesome, the boat was solid, and the sailing was some of the best I’ve ever done.We arrived in Athens a few days before boarding, and were easily able to make our way to the marina and the boat by taxi from our hotel. Once aboard, we exchanged introductions with the other couples joining us, and were given a short safety briefing, and general introduction to shipboard life. Our wonderful host and captain, Steve Parry, had arranged a welcome happy hour aboard the boat, and then dinner at a nearby restaurant on the beach, where everyone settled in and got to know each other.In the morning, we weighed anchor and headed out to begin our Adventure. Each day we started the morning at anchor with a light breakfast, prepared by our hostess extraordinaire, Dianna, then sailed for several hours to the next island, where we would stop for lunch & a swim, or a tour of a temple or archaeological site. Then off sailing to our destination for the evening, where we would tie up, take a swim, or tour the harbor village. We all will have wonderful memories from walking through the amazing villages at sunset.At the halfway point at Ios, we chose to stay on the boat, as we had friends joining us for the 2nd week, and Captain Parry arranged for us to have access to the amenities at Liostasi’s, a fantastic resort high on the hillside overlooking the harbor and sunset. We absolutely enjoyed our time at the pool and the bar, and we thank Michel for his fabulous cocktails! Thanks also to Captain Steve for sorting out the birthday cake for our special dinner there the night before leaving on the 2nd week of the Adventure!We usually had time to roam around the harbors and explore the towns before dinner each day, and there were usually several markets where we could pick up beer, wine, or snacks. Some of the bigger ports had a number of shops and galleries, and a beach or jetty for swimming. Most had a few ATMs.The boat was very comfortable, but remember to pack light, as cabin space is limited. It was very capable in some bigger seas, and we generally had good wind for sailing. Several of our group had not done much sailing, but jumped in and I think we all learned a lot during the trip, and enjoyed sharpening our skills.Because of his long experience sailing in Greece, Captain Parry has cultivated many relationships throughout the islands, and made dinner reservations for the group at some wonderful local tavernas, as well as arrangements to tour some spectacular sites. He has a deep knowledge of greek history and culture, and so was able to add color and context to the tours that he led for us, which greatly added to our enjoyment of the sites.All in all, the whole experience was wonderful, and because of how knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and accommodating the entire Poseidon crew was, our group is looking forward to a trip to the South Pacific in 2021 with Captain Parry and crew! My husband and I had the pleasure of joining four of our close friends for a one-week Greek sailing adventure on the Christianna with Captain Steven Parry.From the start, it was a vacation dream come true. We can't sing this charter's praises enough. Some of our favorite parts of this trip were:- Captain Parry and hostess, Diana, made every accommodation for our comfort. The breakfasts and lunches provided were hearty and delicious.- Christianna was a top of the line boat with ample space.- The itinerary that Captain Parry has refined over years of sailing the Greek islands is absolutely magical. I don't feel like we would have ever had the ability to go to the seven charming islands with all their various activities and sundry access to local/authentic eateries all on our own in seven days.- We met some lovely people on this boat and have made some new friends and fabulous memories for life.If you've never been to the Greek islands, trust us, this has got to be the best way to do it.Thanks, again, Captain Parry and crew. We are sure to be back to try some of your other charters -- Tahiti 2021 here we come!

My wife and I had two great cabin charter sailing adventures through Steven and Sharron at Poseidon Charters. First one was in the Aegean Sea where Poseidon organized, and Steven and Sharron personally ran the charter. The Second was arranged by Poseidon Charters by Steven and Sharron (whom, have retired from the operation of the ship) in the South Pacific Society Islands in French Polynesia. Both experiences where fantastic and I give my highest recommendations to have Poseidon Charter arrange your sailing adventure, I know that we will.

Our team of six can completely back up the choice we made to use Poseidon Charters again to sail the Adriatic Sea – the Lagoon 50, the referral of skipper Jure and host Ivana topped the bill and provided everything that was on the holiday expectation list. The great course we took off the beaten track and the local food experiences was mixed with taking time out for retail therapy and discovering the islands. After 2 weeks, we left Croatia really feeling like we had been given a trip of a life time, treated exceptionally well and loads of wonderful memories and great times. I am a travel advisor and I sailed with Captain Steve of Poseidon Charters with my husband this past May of 2022 around the Greek Isles and we feel so incredibly fortunate to have been with this company. Captain Parry has 30 years of experience and it showed time and time again and in fact, we're not sailing anywhere without Poseidon. It is clear that you must be in capable hands to be safe and have a good time. And on top of this, Captain Steve was the most gracious host and to all those sailing around us even when he probably shouldn't have been, hah! Those that travelled with us that we didn't know before are new friends now and we keep in touch!I would like to mention again about safety. It cannot be stated enough how important it is and to really know what you are doing out there and hands down, Poseidon Charters is full aware of this and more than capable.

We started the journey in 2019 with Steven and I meeting at the Toronto Boat show. By mid summer 2019 we booked our trip for 2 families, my sisters and ours. The trip was to take place Aug 2020. Covid came!!We needed to reschedule to 2021, which Poseidon worked us, the again a reschedule to 2022. Again we needed the Poseidon team to work with us. We didn’t want to spend this amount of money with the possibility of anyone in the group testing positive prior to departure.2022 came along and Greece along with many EU countries lifted all restrictions and we booked all flights, and hotels before and after. Our sailing ended up being Mykonos-Mykonos.There are hundreds of websites to view and scroll through. Steve and Sharon added the personal touch that we need when booking a trip of a lifetime. The comfort of having them assure us all is “good” and what to bring over phone and email really made us comfortable with the process.The trip itself was simply amazing! The 5 young adults on board had a time of their lives. The people all around were eager to help dock, set up mooring lines, help with tenders and water toys.Our skipper Stelios was very knowledgeable and I personally loved sitting with him talking about life, sailing, Greece, mechanical systems and a beer in the evening.As a recommendation, we sailed from Mykonos south and back to Mykonos. The best advise I would have is to sail from Paros, maybe down to Santorini and or come back to Paros. The sail from Paros north to Mykonos may not be pleasant and you loose a day going north.Thank you Poseidon

Booked a trip with Poseidon charters in 2020 to sail the Greek islands. Six friends , private charter on Cosmos. As you can imagine covid sidelined us but Poseidon worked with the captain and all logistics to get us the dream trip which we finally accomplished in May 2023!! Can’t say enough on how Sharon and Steve hung in there to make this happen. Their intimate knowledge of everything Greece was so helpful. Athens,Kia,Paros,Santorini , just beautiful. The crew they recommended was so attentive. The chef and food was first class. See below just a few pics. When I describe our experience with a private charter and cost most cannot believe how affordable it can be. I would not hesitate to book another trip with Poseidon in the future. My friends and I went on a sailing trip in Greece in September last year. Definitively a trip of a lifetime.All of us were novice and never sailed. The skipper Steven was very comforting. You could right away see that he had a lot of experience in that domain.Just the boat experience was something special. Steven involved us in the manipulation of the sailing boat. One friend and I were in charges of the mooring lines and two others were in charge of the anchor. Basically we learned the 101 basics on how a sailing boat works. Great experience.The boat was to our opinion well equipped and spacious. For a first experience we felt like cabins were small but enough for our needs. But we knew about it and it was ok. Was very surprised how many bedrooms a sailing boat could have. It was part of the experience.Steven was wonderful. Every day before leaving the ports he was always briefing us on our destination and give us the schedule for the day. He gave us very good info on the history of the islands, what we were going to see and to do. And not talking about the restaurants he brought us for dinner. Most of the time we were having our dinner outside and in the finest restaurants. Steven knew very well the places we were going. Since he’s been sailing in that part of the world for many years, he knew all the good spots and people. Never been disappointed.Typical dayWaking up, have a breakfast with a good cappuccino (cereals, toatsts, greek yogourt, boiled eggs etc.)Leave the port we were inSail for a while (usually half day)Stop for lunch and swim (every day we had a different lunch i.e. Greek salads including ‘make your own wrap’ day (smoked ham, turkey, salami, bologna with pepper corn), chicken Quesadillas with salami and cheese, Spaghetti with garlic bread etc.)Sail to our final destinationStop somewhere and swimArrive around 16:00, visit the islandDinner around 19:30Go back to the boat and sleepIn a nutshell, we swam, visited extraordinary places, ate very good food, met wonderful people on the islands and sailed for the first time of our life. Unfortunately the wind was not very present but even though the sailing trip was amazing. My wife didn’t know how to swim and was afraid of water… At the very beginning she was wondering what the hell she was doing on a sailing boat. After two days, she was the one asking for more. And if it was to do it again, we would be both ready for the trip.Thank you for your great hospitality.I would recommend Poseidon charter without a doubt.

Wonderful family adventure! We spent a week touring the Greek islands. Our captain was incredible, so knowledgeable. Every stop was amazing with nightly dinners in fantastic restaurants.Highly recommend
