Jeff provided an incredibly detailed inspection and went above and beyond to help us. He was thorough and could also provide a sewer line scope, radon, lead paint testing, etc. Would highly recommend 10/10 times. Veteran friendly business!

Jeff Shirland is hands down the kindest, most professional inspector. We are military who bought out of state sight unseen and he went above and beyond to assist us in making sure the house we were purchasing was thoroughly inspected, detailed all the issues he found in an easy to understand document, and even assisted with locating companies who would perform repairs. He is a military man himself and I can't recommend him enough to all my brothers and sisters in and out of the service. Just an all around stand up guy. Thank you for everything Jeff.

Jeff is incredibly knowledgeable, professional and thorough. The best part though was his willingness to answer more question several days after the inspection. He presented us with a print out (complete with color photos that he had taken during the inspection) and went through each line item in detail. He truly offers superior customer service before, during and after the job is done. I would high recommend Defender Home Inspections to anyone who is looking to get a home inspection done. Top notch!Making a long story short, an issue with my radiant heat.Difficulty was finding a malfunctioning zone valve in my finished basement. Rather than ripping out insulation, Jeff calmly, professionally scanned the floor, noticed the heat flow, popped a couple of ceiling tiles: voila, elusive manifold discovered.As my homes value is well into the seven figures, his expertise wasdoubly appreciated.Shoukd I ever sell my home, or consider buying one of similar caliber, I want Jeff in my corner.Kudos! Your efforts were sincerely appreciated!

Had Jeff from Defender do a septic, structure, and water test for me. He arrived early. He explained everything he did in understandable language. He gave us tips on what to maintain and fix.
