Wreck Cove Wilderness Cabins
We adored our stay at Jay’s cabins this spring and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and tranquil getaway. The cabin had everything needed. Just bring yourself and your food and beverages. It’s a fully setup home base for adventures in the wilderness or relaxing in comfort and coziness. Everything is so thoughtfully setup and helpful signs make the cabin’s amenities easy to navigate. The trail system is a beautiful walk through the woods with a stunning ocean look off and Jay’s attention to detail and creativity shines throughout the cabin and property. We definitely look forward to visiting again and plan to book a session on the archery range that is setup on the property too later this summer. I know this place would be magical in all seasons, winter especially, with the cozy wood stove and snowshoeing through the trails. Thanks so much for having us, we had an amazing staycation and chill family time while my mum was visiting.

I recently attended a special event at Wreck Cove Wilderness, and I had a magical time. When we arrived, we were personally greeted by Jay (the owner) with some homemade chickpea pancakes she made for us. We then had outdoor yoga, and archery lessons. Jay was so patient with me while she helped me to get my archery posture just right. We then headed to the sauna for some relaxation, and then enjoyed a delicious, hearty home cooked meal. We ended the day with EPIC full moon gazing. Wreck Cove is situated directly along the coastline. Getting to see the full moon rise above Wreck Cove's coast is something I'll never forget. The entire event was exactly what my soul needed. Jay is an exceptionally thoughtful host, and I cannot wait until I return again. If you're looking to relax, and reconnect with yourself and nature, Wreck Cove Cabins are a must-see.

Wow, a bit late with this one...We had such a wonderful stay in this cabin last November. It's a fully equipped, cozy, comfy place. A perfect launching point for multiple great hikes and drives. The cabin had a great wood stove, and plenty of wood was provided. The kitchen and Bathroom were well stocked and clean. Bedrooms were comfortable, as was the bedding. The manager was very accommodating and helpful both before and during our stay. We couldn't get enough, so we added an extra day to our vacation.A short walk through a forest trail behind the archery club, and you're atop sea cliffs, feeling the crashing tide deep in your chest. A little spray on the face for us too, it was November afterall.A must see, must stay experience!

Had an incredible stay here. Cabins are cozy and clean with lots of space. Beautiful trails throughout the property that lead to those breathtaking Cabot Trail cliff look offs.Lots of stuff to do indoors as well- full kitchen to cook and lots of board games and puzzles to keep us occupied when it rained. We came up with our 3 month old baby and Jay went out of her way to make sure we were all comfortable and happy. Can’t wait for us all to come back and explore this place in the winter! We are so grateful to Jay for making this the best trip with our new family

Visited with a group of friends and had a super comfortable and relaxing winter weekend in these cute little cabins. The owner Jay was easy to reach, and a helpful and accommodating host. We enjoyed using the snowshoeing trails right on the property and the outdoor fire pit. Would return if I was planning another trip to the area!

Beautiful location & cabins with excellent attention to detail. Jay continuously shows great pride in making sure guests are comfortable and satisfied every time they stay. She consistently goes above and beyond, and even provided some potpourri & water for the wood stove so that our cabin smelled as fresh & clean as it looked. 10/10 would recommend this to anybody looking for a cozy, & exciting getaway. The trails on-site are nice & private, and every time we revisit she has new signs out so we don't get lost exploring. Can't wait to go back again!!

I had a wonderful and restorative stay at Jay's wilderness cabins recently. The cabins are clean and have many amenities, including a wood stove flanked by very comfy seating. The cabins are a close drive to a general store, yet feel quiet and secluded as they aresurrounded by the iconic Cabot Trail forest. It is a quick drive to Ingonish Beach and many hiking trails, including one that starts on the property. Jay is a swell host who takes care to ensure the comfort of her guests, and is very knowledgable and engaged in the Wreck Cove community.I wish I had more time to stay longer, and I would definitely stay there again!

We had a fantastic couple of days at Wreck Cove Wilderness Cabins. The cabin was very comfortable and warm with woodstove heat, and had everything we needed to cook our own meals. The property is beautiful with trails leading to some spectacular views of the water and along a lovely brook. Jay was an excellent host and was very accommodating when we had some last minute guests join us. Highly recommended.

I've stayed at Wreck Cove Wilderness Cabins 4 times now, and Jay has been amazing every time! Her cabins are impeccably clean, thoughtfully decorated and stocked with everything you need for a cozy and comfortable getaway. I've stayed in 3/4 seasons, with my little family, with my husband, and solo, and I always leave with the feeling when can I/we come back?" If you stay in cool/cold seasons

I had the most rejuvenating weekend because of Jay. If you are looking to unplug and enjoy a relaxing stay in Cape Breton, then this is the spot! I didn’t realize how much I needed to unwind and sleep by a wood stove until I arrived at my cabin after a long drive from Halifax. I was welcomed by a warm cabin with a fire burning and the comforting smell of cinnamon. It was the perfect combo of clean, cozy and rugged.I also spent a lot of time learning archery from Jay with the convenient set up she has on the property. If you’ve ever been interested in shooting a bow and arrow then I highly recommend booking some time with Jay at Highland Bow and Arrow! I learned so much in just 2 days and had the best time.
