Vancouver Civic Theatres
The Playhouse is moldy and decrepit. The QET is barely used. VSO is third rate, laughable and near bankrupt and The Orpheum is unsafe, near collapse and unfit for purpose. CofV should get out of the entertainment business. Hugh Pickett has left the Theatre.

Following the unfortunate incident (targeting Indigenous women) that occurred after the Jessie Reyez concert at The Orpheum Theatre, the lack of accountability that is being portrayed is heartbreaking. Deleting bad reviews and calling cops on BICOP individuals where excessive force was used, not only by cops but by security at the event is completely unacceptable. Racism and police brutality go hand in hand and people in Canada, especially white people need to speak up about this and stand with the Indigenous community.
