I had two people recommended this brunch place before my trip to Ucluelet, and I can see why! The chicken was the highlight, but I tried their crispy prawn dumplings and enjoyed them too. It’s a cute little yellow house but there is a big sign indicating it’s a restaurant. Server was friendly and efficient!

A notch above the typical breakfast spots here. Great homey restaurant with elevated brunch and breakfast, sauces are homemade sauces. Pleasantly surprised! Whenever guests visit us from Toronto, we take them here in Tofino.

Food was absolutely amazing, we still dream about the Ukee Fried Chicken & French Toast! If you’re in Ucluelet, this is a MUST. One of if not the best food I’ve ever had.

This past weekend Ian at Heartwood catered our wedding at the Shore Pier in Tofino. The food was AMAZING. Halibut, chicken and risotto - each dish we heard from our guests was absolutely delicious. And the appetizers and late night snacks were a huge hit too! Ian was a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend Heartwood for a Tofino / Ucluelet wedding!!!

AMAZING! I had the fried chicken French toast without hot sauce and my husband had the fried chicken eggs benny! Great service and it was awesome that you could see the chef in action!

A little pricy on some items ($4.50 for a regular old cup of coffee!?!). Brunch for two, no alcohol, including tip was over $70. The food WAS amazing I must say! Odd hours, they were closing at 11:45am due to not enough customers. Then customers came and were turned away. Keep in mind, the chef (owner?) Told one couple that asked about the hours that were listed online yeah

The best breakfast we ever had. Surprisingly not greasy, the bacon were perfect and not greasy. My daughter had the french toast and that was amazing too. The Benny dishes were hands -down the best. My only regret was not to try the Chicken and waffles that everyone was raving about. Next time Heartwood Kitchen, next time. Compliments to the busy guy and his helpers in the kitchen and the ladies at the front that were just delightful and very good. Thank you for the very good breakfast guys!Heads up people, long line up, but it is worth your while, or come earlier.

Heartwood Kitchen is sincerely my favourite restaurant on the whole island. Food is insanely awesome and speaks to my soul. The staff are always delightful and kind to each other and to customers as well, they have all of my gratitude.

Went for a full course dinner and had to come back the next day for breakfast. The food was fantastic especially the dinner options - what a creative, refined, and beautiful menu! There were 3 different price levels from $15, $17 and $20. Service was attentive and friendly, glad to have discovered this gem in Ucluelet. Highly recommend the crab bisque.
