Fairfield Residence Assisted Living for Seniors

We moved my mom into Fairfield Retirement Residence approximately two months ago. As you can imagine, if this is something you have gone through or are going through, it is one of the most painstaking processes of your life. You hear and read so many horror stories. We all want the best for our moms and our dads. I am so incredibly grateful to the owners and all of the staff at Fairfield. I will never forget the daily kindnesses that are bestowed upon my mom. These people have to have a calling because they go above and beyond. Although my mom has dementia the one consistent message that comes through loud and clear is how kind everyone is at Fairfield and we see and hear this ourselves. Before Covid we were able to go into Fairfield. The home is very sweet. It doesn’t feel like an institution at all. It’s nothing fancy but it is definitely well cared for. The bathrooms are newly renovated with all of the necessary grab bars and they’re very roomy too. The home is spotlessly clean and it doesn’t smell at all. My mom’s room is painted in a cheery yellow and the furniture has a homey feel to it. There is a common living room with a TV and a common dining room that also has a TV and a cute little electric fireplace. Milda and Olga are fabulous cooks. My mom raves about the home cooked food. Mack and Milda even encouraged my mom to flip through recipe books before they placed their online shopping order just this past week. She was thrilled. This doesn’t happen in typical nursing homes. I know because my father had many respite stays and this was never our experience. There are twice weekly exercise classes that my mom thoroughly enjoys and Mack will often bring a few of the residents out for walks, too. The grounds are lovely, with gardens, a patio, bbq, and a beautiful apple tree. Angela, one of the owners, regularly sends pics and videos which give me great comfort, especially on days when I speak to my mom and she can’t recall what she has done because I can see that she has exercised or decorated cookies or gingerbread houses. I am lucky but, most importantly, my mom is lucky. Thank you to everyone at Fairfield. The work that you do makes a difference.

Fairfield is one of the best retirement homes I have had the pleasure of working with! The owners and staff make it a priority to not only care for the residents but go above and beyond to make it a fun and inclusive place for everyone. I highly recommend Fairfield!

A lovely small retreat like setting in the city run by capable and caring people. It's a small and affordable, and well located in the community, in a quiet and pleasant setting. There's an overall happy atmosphere of workers and residents. Even the beautiful garden has an abundance of plump green apples. It's a gem of a place!

Having been a resident at Fairfield Residence for several months now, I can proudly say that I am extremely happy here. It has a very homely and peaceful atmosphere and the Management and staff are very courteous, kind and caring and go out of their way to look after us and keep meet our needs. The home cooked meals are nutritious and delicious with such a variety. Without any doubt or regrets I would highly recommend Fairfield Residence to anyone looking for a comfortable, secure and caring place to stay.

I am looking for a nursing home and Fairfield was a referral by Western Hospital. I spoke to the Director, Angela, and she asked several questions to determine if there is a fit. Angela was very helpful, empathetic and understanding with our situation. She gave me a tour of the residence, advise and referral on a more suitable home. Angela, really appreciate your assistance and time.

As I was looking for assisting living in Etobicoke for my dad I happened to to tour Fairfield residence. I was impressed how cozy and homey this place is. Staff was very accommodating and other residents looked very happy. I am looking forward for my father moving in to this residence asap, so he wouldn't feel lonely anymore and would not forget to take his medications.
