Cooksville Care Centre

I have been trying since Monday 4/27/15 to get through to a patient transferred to this facility. There is no answer evenings or at night, and often for several hours during normal working hours the phones go unanswered. This is a ridiculous way to run a business. Is this place a prison or a rehab facility? The two times I was able to speak to a staff member they were terse and borderline rude saying the patient wasn't available, or was in another room.I am calling from Virginia. This is a dear friend that begged me to call after they were transferred to this facility. What is wrong with the staff at this place???

The workers don't care about their roles and they use garbage bags under the resident at night instead of soaker pads...there's roaches in rooms and not taken care of.

This place doesn’t have any work ethics. So much gossiping between the employees and some are very mean and gives so much attitude and also workplace bullying. In restorative unit some employees speak in different language in front of the residents and relatives and doesn’t have any manners or know how to behave or respect others in a workplace.

This may not be the newest facility but the care and passion that the restore team shows totally makes up for that! My father in law suffered a stroke and heart attack in August, the hospital gave us little hope that he would be able to walk again and were just going to send him home. Fortunately for us we found the Restore program, in the last few months he has been able to start walking with a walker, receives exercise & therapy daily and we have seen his mood change from depressed to happy & optimistic. I wish for other families that this program was offered at more facilities. We are forever grateful for Cooksville Care and more people should be thankful to have access to such a great program.

My Father has been here for a month now. At first you think this place is tired and worn out but I must say that the staff from the care givers to management make up for it. There is a very friendly atmosphere towards the residents and also between staff, which tell me that the people are very happy working here. One big surprise I had was that the food is actually quite good. The overall care for my Father is excellent. I definitely commend this facility and the staff. Thank you Cooksville Care people, for your care for my Father.

A lot of unpleasant stuff happens behind closed doors. The staff is very rude to the residents and to each other. I’ve witnessed a lot of workplace bullying. The management and senior level RNs are very fake and do not care about workers and residents. A lot of the PSWs and housekeeping and very kind and will say hello, but admin won’t even look at you twice and think they’re all that. If something goes wrong, PSWs are immediately blamed, rather than the lack of support and resources they receive from management. They act all nice but they’re truly not. I’ve seen PSWs suffer while handling more than a dozen heavy residents, while management does absolutely nothing about it from the comfort of their own home.

Since my mother has left this world,thanks to the staff who served her in good or bad way. God Bless the staff with more passion when serving these patients and understand them and see their own parents while working with other's parents.My heartfelt thanks to the staff and my apologies if my opinion hurt any staff.God bless you allJesselyn carvajal director of nursing andR N Alexander of 3rd floor are one of the best staff members I had come across among so many good staff

Big Parking Problem.No Parking Gate up Front.Basically anyone and everyone comes and parks on the Premises,especially cheap asses that don't want to pay the Parking Garage Feeat the hospital across the street. They aren't even Visitors of Cooksville CCand parking enforcement is very laxed. Pretty pathetic and could be aSafety Hazard for patrons & Visitors.During the daytime, Employees & Patrons struggle with getting a parkingSpot even with Valid Parking permits because of this issue.No security cameras or surveillance system for the safety & security ofEmployees, Patrons & Visitors. Unacceptable.Could be a future concern.Cockroaches in the building.Some serious hygiene issues if there are cockroaches running around.Someone needs to take more accountability in Management and address theseIssues, especially the parking and cockroaches concern.

Staff Seena was amazing! She arranged for an outdoor visit with my bother and our siblings. She was waiting at the front door with a friendly greeting and instructions. My brother is happy and well cared for. Seena and staff are so friendly, a really gift of blessing!
