If CBC reported correctly the owner is beyond being a 'shitxy' person. I personally dislike government intervention, but this is a guy who needs to be completely investigated. Perhaps they should sentence the owner to one year in residence without weekend outings. See how he likes living on two rolls. My apologies if CBC reported incorrectly. Otherwise it would be nice if the community outed this owner.

On November 11 2022, Manoir Notre Dame was purchased by the owner of Residence O Bons Soins in Shediac. Manoir Notre Dame has new Management as of January 5 2023. Renovations have started in January, Management works with the residents committee to make sure they are very happy and their needs are all met. Our #1 priority is the residents. Residence O Bons Soins in Shediac has won readers choice award for the past 3 years and it's no wonder we have a long waiting list. We will deliver the same quality care to Manoir Notre Dame and wholesome food to residents. We fully adhere to the Department of Social Development Regulations. We've already received very positive feedback from residents, families and visitors.

My mother lived here for just over a year. the owner should be investigated for abuse on so many levels. feeding hot dogs twice a week. rarely vegetables. they had an infestation of bed bugs last august and now a cover hot spot with a death because they stopped paying for a screener at the entry to the home.

Owner cuts corners and lies on paper.. he states that on paper more people are working according to needed standards given by social development but in all actuality there are way less people working so the ratio of workers to patients is scary low and they are under investigation for this, along with several other crooked things happening. They recently fired the best director they had because she wouldn't cut the corners and break the law and risk loosing her license for them so they fired her and hired back the old director who complies with their illegal activities. The accountant, owners son R**, and the hired-back director are all useless and have no understanding of standards of care. This place needs to be shutdown.

Since new management in November the place is unrecognizable... The first thing I noticed when entering the building is how fresh and clean it smelled. They are renovating every single room - fresh coat of paint, new floors everything! The staff is super friendly. Great place!!

We have had both parents at the Manoir.My mother was a resident for 17 years.This was home for her and she was happy and felt safe there, always treated with respect and Loved by all of the staff and management. She left only because she needed a higher level of care.My father was there for under 2 years and had to leave for the same reason. As his health had Deteriorated quickly.We highly recommend this seniors home for the levels they offer. It has a very home like feeling. Not so clinical like where my parents are today.

Since my mom has been at the Manoir Notre Dame the past almost month , her stay there is comfortable ,and she's happy . She eats good and is taking care of well, She's in a brand new renovated room ,and the home is clean . New management and owners have had it for a while ,and the changes are for the better for the clients ,and family . They have activities and entertainment and my mom enjoys that . So far things are great ,and as long as my mom's happy that's all that matters . The management is always in touch with me to let me know hows she's doing and I'm able to speak with her anytime . She's pleasant and full of knowledge .Despite past reviews ,this place has changed for the better all around . I'm ok with my mom's care there . The improvements to the building are nice improvements .

Unfortunately, my mother recently passed away and lived here for 18 months. We were planning on moving her out just before she passed away because this place is terrible. The owner is rude and cheap. They served them boiled hot dogs and chips almost weekly. No resident is allowed seconds. Some meals, they were served a half of a sandwich and when asking for the second half, denied. Its crazy how they pass inspections in there. They no longer have anyone checking for COVID at the door and guess what, now they have 2 confirmed cases according to Health NB. I am very sad my mom has passed but so glad she didn't have to endure this place or the risk of COVID anymore. My mom had her moments of being rude but only when pushed or felt disrespected first. She hated this place and always told me it was the kind of place you would see in a movie. They wine and dine you to get you in and once you're in, they collect the money and that's it. There are some very nice employees there too and they used to tell my mom horror stories about management. I truly wish the remaining residents their health and safety. They are going to need it in the coming weeks.

A Love one lives at that Home. I was always told when you have nothing good to say about a place. Then you just don't comment. They need a lot of improvement. Starting with the Driveway when you leave there is a huge Whole bad enough to damage your car if driving to fast. Not all staff are bad. They do have bad ones. Including giving wrong meds to seniors. They have an emergency ringer cord just like the Hospital. I must say. I was told that this individual that rang the cord. Good thing that it wasn't a Medical Emergency. They would probably have passed away. Not all staff is bad. They do have certain staff that shouldn't be working there as they are impatient and rude at times. Again not all staff is that way. Just a certain few of them. I recommend if looking foe a senior home for yourself or your parents. There is way better places in the City. Unfortunately that's what it is. This is only my opinion of what I've seen and heard no offense to the owner. The owner I was told he does his best as he can very nice person. Unfortunately the staffing is the main problem. Again this is and only my opinion.

My 94 mother-in-law absolutely loves this place, as do we. The staff is excellent. The owner works his butt off and the food is more than just acceptable. The pandemic has produced unprecedented challenges and Ron, Lise, Natasha and staff have met every challenge with safety and security of residents in the forefront of their minds.
