Wow. This was an adventure not to be missed. The highlight of our trip. Food was excellent, clean accommodations and what a view.

Beautiful area. A bit of a hike back up from the view. On a mostly stone driveway type road. There are strategically placed old lobster traps along the way to rest if needed. Getting there for the tidal change from low to high is the best target time if possible.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Stunning location, comfortable accommodation, delicious food, great hospitality, one-of-a-kind experience. We would love to go back and stay longer. Perfect place to unwind.

An amazing experience staying at the lighthouse and wonderful dining too!It is peaceful and the views are unlike anything I’ve experienced. It is worth the overnight stay/dining experience for an out of province trip or a weekend away for anyone who lives in Nova Scotia.

Beautiful scenery.. also a nice multi use trail starting in the parking area. The road is a little rough but I easily made it there with a small car.

The Lighthouse on Cape d'Or
Definitely one of the nicest most welcoming places I’ve been to. The food was absolutely amazing. As soon as I got home I told all my friends and family about it and where it was. I definitely would love to go back someday for an anniversary supper or other special occasion. Make sure to have cash on you costed 50$ per person for everything you see in the pictures. Also make sure to fill out the guest book.

The Lighthouse on Cape d'Or
Getting to the Lighthouse on Cape D’or from the main road takes you along 5 km and gravel road that ends at a parking lot. Along the road, there are signs telling you how much further it is and there are also ups and downs, so I would recommend driving slowly and carefully on this part. Once you reach the end, you’ll realize how worth it that drive was as the scenery is so breathtaking. The parking lot is at the top of the hill and you’ll have to walk down quite a steep road to reach the lighthouse, the restaurant, and the accommodations. At the bottom, there are benches and picnic tables all around to use and the view overlooking the cliffs are magnificent on a clear day. For those that are mobility restricted, there is also a lookout at the top near the parking lot which also has beautiful views. This is definitely a gem of a place and a must visit place for those seeking out lighthouses. One of the best in the province!

This is a truly special place, with a unique view and feel. The manager is a great guy. He was very considerate to our needs, made us feel at home, and is a world class chef. This was a highlight of our trip to Nova Scotia. If we had known how lovely it would be we would planned to have stayed much longer!

Incredible view for sunrise and sunset. Great accommodations with excellent food and comfortable rooms, not that you should spend any of your time indoors, just hang out on the rocky outcropping
