Irving K. Barber Learning Centre
I love librariens here. They are very welcoming, friendly, polite, and support and nuture students' learning experience. I am very gratful for the stuff who keeps things clean and tidy here as well. I usually come here at 6am and people are working cleaning stuff, from that time to throughout the day. The people in this building speaks how UBC is putting significance on students' education and well-beings.

Very loud, even in designated quiet spaces. I find it hard to concentrate with people constantly talking no matter where you go.

Irving K. Barber Learning Centre
The Ridington Room at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre is one of my favourite and most creative places to work. Whether I am writing a book, researching a challenge, or planning my year, the towering windows, wooden desks, and quietness of the space always makes me productive. As a UBC Alumnus a bonus for me is seeing the paintings of UBC’s past Presidents.

Wouldve been 4 stars if they allowed 24 hr studying like prepandemic, but not anymore, so 3 stars.Also way too full at every hour so not a great study space either.

Excellent spot to settle down and get some work done. It's quiet, spacious and comfortable especially during the holidays.:D it's open for the most part compared to the other libraries aroubd here. There are enough desks for a million people, and couches for the couch-lovers! Almost centrally located.

I love this library. It has completely opposite perspective for the modern west entrance and to that of architectural wonder on the east side. Must visit place in UBC. It’s a busy place as most students hand out for studying and sometimes difficult to get a spot for group to sit together.

This place is so hard to work in. People treat the space like a second cafeteria and there is no quiet study areas. The places dubbed quiet study" are really not so by virtue of the fact that people will have loud conversations directly outside the doors. The chairs are also seemingly intentionally uncomfortable. They are painful to sit in for even five minutes. Moreover

Irving K. Barber Learning Centre
One of my favorite places to study. There are a variety of seating options, such as high counters, computer stations, individual and group desks, and couches. In the evenings you can often find an empty classroom to study in. Often fairly busy though so sometimes hard to find a seat.
