Dr Siu saw me immediately after I had seen my own dentist about terrible pain on the right side of my mouth. It was determined I had an abscessed tooth and needed a root canal. I was referred to Chris, who immediately made room in his schedule that day to see me. He and his team provided exceptional care and attention to detail throughout the necessary appointments. Everything now back to normal, thank goodness. I would highly recommend Dr Siu and his team to anyone needing endo work. Many thanks to all.

I have been seeing Dr. Siu since 2017 for different endodontic issues. He is very knowledgeable, and have a great bedside manner. During the visits he would review the CT cans with me and explain the problem, listen patiently to my concerns and answer my questions thoroughly. All his diagnosis and prognoses have turned out to be correct.Besides being very professional, Dr. Siu stands out most in that he puts his patients’ wellbeing and interest at the forefront of his practice. My root canal on one tooth 12 years ago by a general dentist had developed an infection. After visiting Dr. Siu we decided to save it. He spent a solid one hour and 15 minute to redo the root canals through the crown. His work was well structured, precise and thorough. I felt I was in very good hands during the procedure, and expected good result.The area of the tooth however developed some tenderness a few weeks after the procedure. Sarah, Dr. Siu’s receptionist brought me in asap for rechecking, during which Dr. Siu adjusted the bite, hoping to relieve the problem. When the tenderness persisted they once again brought me in for CT scan and other examination. We found out that the tooth was actually healing, but it was the tooth next to it that caused the issue. It already had a filling from an early cavity. The easiest way to resolve the problem would be a root canal. I then booked an 1.5 hour appointment for it.What happened after is an example that he puts his patients’ wellbeing and interest at the forefront. Before he started the root canal he tested my tooth thoroughly one more time. When he felt that a root canal might not be necessary, he suggested me to get a crown on it by my regular dentist instead, and consider root canal if the problem is not resolved. What about the appointment time he had booked for me? I was quite concerned that he spent all this time on me without earning his wage. He was however adamant that whatever was best for his patients was most important to him. I was not billed for one penny for all these extra work and consultation he has given me.Needless to say that I feel very lucky to have Dr. Siu care for my complicated dental problems. His receptionist, Sarah, is also very kind and always tries her best to accommodate patients' needs. All his staff is also professional and kind.Thank you Dr. Siu and team!This is to follow up on my last review about 6 months ago.The discomfort on my tooth on which I wanted Dr. Siu to perform a root canal lingered. During an earlier appointment Dr. Siu suggested observing it rather than performing a perhaps unnecessary root canal. A few months later as I was planning for a two month trip to Europe I again scheduled a big appointment to see Dr. Siu, being well prepared that the root canal be done for once and all, and I would get the crown on it after. I told Dr. Siu I was all ready to do the root canal at the beginning of the appointment. However upon very careful examination Dr. Siu suspected the loosening fillings on the tooth and the adjacent tooth might be causing the discomfort, and suggested that we replace the old fillings. Again the cost of redoing the fillings was much less than that of a root canal, but he persuaded me to choose this option. Sure enough the problem went away one day after the work. The fillings felt very solid and smooth. A few weeks later I even received a call from Dr. Siu to see how I felt. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. I traveled in Europe for two months after without any issue. It has been more than 3 months now and the teeth still feel good.Through the years I have resided in different cities of the country and have seen many dentists. Dr. Siu is one of the most skillful, thorough and kind endodontists I have ever met. He always put his patients' wellbeing at the forefront of his work. I highly recommend him to anyone, especially patients with complicated endodontic issues.

The root canal was honestly one of my best experiences while having a dental procedure. Dr. Sui is the best endodontists that I have ever known, professional and knowledgeable. He was recommended by my family dentist Dr. Thomas Hui at Station Square Dentist in Burnaby to evaluate one of my tooth where I have a crown already done by him. After the crown procedure I continue to experience sensitivity on the tooth and so he recommended that I see Dr. Chris Sui for an opinion if a root canal was needed. At this first consultation a year ago in 2021 at that time it was not deemed necessary. He was so professional, caring and patiently listened to my problem. He adjusted my bite and told me to monitor it. But the tooth continue to have the sensitivity when I bite on it and this has been going on for a year. Dr. Hui suggested I go see Dr. Sui again for another follow-up. On November 2022 I phoned the receptionist and due to Christmas holiday she was so kind to fit me in with an appointment the next week on Nov 14th for a consultation. Dr. Sui listened and did a cold test on the tooth and he suggested probably a root canal would be the best option to take care of the problem. They were so kind to fit me in on November 28, 2022 for the procedure as I told them I will be retiring at the end of December and would like to make use of my health benefit with the company. He continuously assured me he will take care of me and not to worry. On the day of the appointment throughout the procedure he constantly asked how I was feeling, am I ok. He explained the process and throughout the procedure he made me feel so comfortable. After the procedure he assured me if there is any problem I could give him a call at any time.A few days later, he even made a follow-up call personally to see how I was doing and again assured me I could call him at any time and to go back for a free follow-up visit in a years' time.I would strongly recommend Dr. Sui if anyone needed a root canal done. He is the most knowledgeable endodontist. All his staff were professional and kind, well mannered as well.Thank you Dr. Sui and your team. See you in December 2023 for a follow-up again.

I was referred to Dr. Chris Siu by my dentist, who spoke very highly of him, to deal with a 15-year-old root canal that had a lingering infection which was causing bone erosion (I also had a crown on the tooth already). Dr. Siu was remarkable with his level of knowledge and care, as well as his calming and down-to-earth presence! Dr. Siu clearly walked me through every step of the procedure and gave me realistic expectations of the healing process. He also provided his after-hour contact information in case of emergencies - luckily everything went smoothly and my tooth looked flawless, but I truly appreciated his availability. He even called about a week later to check up on me! I’ve had plenty of dental work done in my life, but I’m particularly grateful for the incredible help of Dr. Siu and his team. Highly helpful staff (paperwork and insurance claims), modern dental clinic.Dr Siu very professional, patient, answering questions and explaining procedure and outcome. Very calm, relaxing atmosphere during procedure, beyond my expectation.Also, follow up call about a week later (as promised) by Dr Siu making sure it's all in order and assuring I can call back in case I feel I need to.I am writing this just over a month since procedure to confirm that ALL is as he told me initially.
