Edmonton Guitar Music School

Started lessons at EGMS a little over a year and a half ago, Matt and Kamil and the entire team have been great. While I have a lot to learn, and am sure that this team will be assisting and helping me learn and grow in my journey with the guitar for some time!

My 12 year old daughter said she wanted to learn and I could not be happier about my choice to bring her here. She loves the instructors, the easy schedule and the breakout of different classes. I like how friendly the staff are and how easy it is to leave her with them. She is also progressing very well and is excited to see her own skill increase.

I've been taking classes at EGMS for a year now. My guitar playing has improved significantly; I'm more comfortable with the instrument and I'm out of old ruts. The administrative staff have been kind and helpful, and the teachers have been insightful and knowledgeable. It has been an excellent experience. I would recommend EGMS to musicians at all levels.

My husband has been taking lessons with the Edmonton Guitar Music School for only four months, but has learned more in that time than he did in 15 months with other instructors. His technical understanding of the guitar and his general ability and confidence has increased tremendously. The instructors and staff are amazing, and we would recommend this school to anyone.

I've been taking lessons at EGMS for two years now and have really enjoyed it. The flexible schedule works really well for me, and it's really convenient being able to choose which classes I'd like to attend each week. The staff is really friendly and Kamil and Bryce are both great teachers. Whether you are new to guitar, or just want to work on your skills, the group classes have something for everyone.

I came to Edmonton Guitar Music School in July 2018 with only a few basic chords and an immense desire to learn to play guitar. A few months later, and I feel my skills, confidence, and foundational knowledge growing every day. Ian and Kamil are incredible and attentive instructors, and I would highly recommend attending lessons with them both. As a part of group lessons, you never feel lost or as if your progress or intentions go unnoticed. The instructors take great care to learn what style of music you're interested in, tailor the lessons to those interests, and check in frequently with where you're at in your practice. They have a keen understanding of the learning process, and what it takes to get to where you want to be. Additionally, I've only had a couple of lessons with Tommaso, but those classes made a huge impact -- telling of his skills as an instructor. Overall, I'd highly recommend attending Edmonton Guitar Music School if you have a serious desire to learn or accelerate your guitar skills.

Have been taking piano lessons for a couple years with Bailey as my teacher, I’ve had no issues or complaints. The teachers are insightful and are there to help you learn about your instrument better, whether you practice on your own time to improve your skills further is up to you! If you’re looking for personal one on one classes you may have to discuss that with them because it tends to be more group lessons but sometimes that gives you that extra incentive to practice more and really test your skills.

I started at EGMS about a year ago, and the classes are amazing. Its a much more structured approach to guitar classes than I personally had taken previously, and for me this method works awesome. The instructors are very personable and eager to help you on your way to whatever it is you would like to achieve with the guitar. The way the classes are scheduled is great, they understand that sometimes life happens you might have to miss a class here and there but it's not a big deal at all, they allow you to make up the class at a time that works better for you so no more feeling guilty about missing it. They keep things interesting too, I'm always excited to see what I will be learning this week. Really would recommend 100% to anyone looking to pick up the instrument.
