On May, 3, 2023, I entered the bus, but the bus driver demanded that I have the bus fare ready before entering the bus. I then placed my hand into my pocket and retrieved $4.00 to pay the fare. But the driver began lecturing me about having the fare ready before entering the bus. It had only taken me several seconds to retrieve the change from my pocket. When I tried to put the cash into the cash box the driver placed his hand over the cash box preventing me from paying, as he continued to lecture me. Because I disagreed with his premise, about having the fare ready before entering the bus, he told me, “The next time I see you, I will drive by you”.. I responded by telling the driver that no other bus driver has ever had a problem with me paying this way. The bus driver continued to be insistent. He was aggressive, hostile, and extremely argumentive. He then stopped the bus and told me to get off the bus. I refused. He then said that he was calling his supervisor. Luckily, I had recorded the incident. To my surprise, he also called the police. When the police arrived, I showed them the video. They recommended that I report the incident to the bus headquarters. When the bus supervisor arrived, the supervisor told me that he does not speak English. But as I continued to engage the supervisor by trying to explain to him the nature of the incident, he gradually began to speak perfect English. So, in the end, the initial bus driver tried to weaponize the police against me because I took several seconds to pay the fare by placing my hand into my pocket to retrieve the bus fare, rather than having the fare ready in my hands prior to entering the bus.

Very basic hub in front of the cegep.

The bus service in this city is on par or perhaps even lower than bus service in third world countries... always late... drivers unpleasant and heavy on the brake and accelerator. It is obvious there is no alternative. They charge as much if not more than much larger cities for service that is non-existent.

Always late, overpacked and more often than not the buses simply don’t pass.

Better now that the office is in the first floor

The female bus driver created an issue because I was short 10 cents. She became verbally angry when I showed her $900 in my wallet as I was exiting the front of the bus.The bus fare is $3.75. Most of the time I just put two toonies ($4.00) into the box. Sometimes when I have no change I deposit $ 5.00 bills.
