Jane is amazing. I highly recommend her as a midwife. Her knowledge and expertise, along with her kind and calming demeanor, made her the perfect fit for my first experience with pregnancy and labour. She has an amazing team that was always there for me when I needed them. She never cut my appointments off when we were going a little over and always addressed my concerns and questions respectfully. Our home delivery would not have been the success it was without her. Thank you, Jane, for bringing our little girl into the world safely!

Jane is an exceptional care giver and space holder for the pre, during and post birth journey. Both of my children were brought into this world via her skillful care and dedication to healthy, safe and profound home birth experience. My husband and I are forever grateful to her.

Jane was our midwife for our baby born 2 months ago. I cannot recommend her enough. We are extremely grateful for the thorough and personalized care we received throughout the pregnancy, the birth, and the postpartum period. Jane was my midwife for both my pregnancies. I honestly considered having a third child just so she could be my midwife again! I appreciated her balanced approach to care. With my second, there were a few minor complications and she really helped calm my anxiety. I truly believe that were it not for her experience and expertise, things would have been much worse or at least, a more traumatic experience for me. Thanks Jane!

My husband and I had a negative experience with midwifery care for the birth of our first son. We did not have hopes of finding a midwife for our second pregnancy who had integrity, respectfulness and possessed the skills to listen and communicate and who wasn’t operating on their own agenda. After researching available midwives, we conducted interviews. Only one midwife showed these qualities that we were looking for, Jane Baker. From the very start, she was upfront, honest and treated us with respect and dignity. She worked hard to listen and calm our fears, while communicating with us and helping us to make informed decisions without pushing an agenda. It’s not always easy to communicate, but she worked with us when there were misunderstandings and with each visit and her efforts she fostered trust and healing.We had a beautiful, healing home birth and even though there were a couple “hairy moments”, because of who Jane is and the time she spent with us, we had complete faith and trust in Jane and her calm, assertive nature was reassuring. She visited our home many times after our son was born and answered all our questions and was a wealth of knowledge. She also let us know at our last postnatal appointment that we can reach out to her by email anytime if we have any questions! Jane loves being a midwife and does so with integrity, respectfulness, trustworthiness and a dash of humour! If we are blessed with a third beautiful bundle of joy, without hesitation, we would want Jane to be a part of our family again! We recently had Jane as our midwife for the birth of our son in the summer of 2020. I cannot recommend Jane highly enough. Jane instills confidence with her wealth of knowledge and experience, paired with her warm and empathetic approach to health care.Originally we hadn't really considered a home birth, but as the pregnancy progressed, we started to talk to Jane about the possibility. With Jane's help and support, we prepared for both a home birth (as well as hospital birth, just in case). We ended up having a wonderful home birth, where we both felt relaxed and very well supported. It could not have gone better. Jane's support during the early days was also crucial to help me get set up for breastfeeding (and again giving me the confidence I needed as a new mom). Even since our care with Jane has ended, she has also been very kind in responding to occasional questions I have by providing me with advice and further resources.We feel very grateful that we had Jane as our midwife, and we would recommend her to any friend or family member :) Thank you, Jane!

Jane provided care throughout my first pregnancy. She is a clear communicator who has a no nonsense bedside manner which worked really well for us.
