Kerrisdale Cameras Ltd - North Vancouver

Leo's loss is Kerrisdale's gain. Needless to say I was thrilled to hear my favourite photo expert Jeff Gin joined Kerrisdale and is now store manager at the North Van location. Knowing other Leo's staff joined this company, I am hoping Kerrisdale will level up and start catering a bit more to pro photographers and carry more studio gear/tech as well. I have known Jeff since the early 2000s when I began my photo journey as a hobbyist. He is my go to source for anything I need and he will always give me an honest opinion based on what I need. I am more than happy to make the trip to North Van to buy from him. Most recently I upgraded my camera body and he was my first call and thankfully this location had what I wanted. Looking forward to continuing my professional relationship with Jeff here at Kerrisdale. I have many photographer friends who live on the north shore and hopefully they can get what they need as I know that they travel to Vancouver or shop online for their other pro needs. My suggestion would be to carry strobes, gels, lighting stands, tether cables, v flats (that might be a tough one), seamless, whatever. I needed tether cables for the new camera so I had to go elsewhere for that. It would have been great to get everything in one spot. Otherwise, I will be back for my 2nd mirrorless body, hopefully sooner than later.

Great place to get all sorts of camera equipment, including used cameras. Not as many used film cameras in-store as I was expecting. The website is a little misleading because even though you can select a store location to see what items are in their inventory, it does not mean they have everything in-store. If you call ahead, however, they can check where a certain product is and ship it to a closer store location for free.

Placed an order Online and received the item a few days later. Best price I could find online and one of the only places with Filters on sale for Black Friday. So happy I could buy locally! Next time I need anything camera related this is the first place I will look.

Had to buy universal adapter for camera had on for 45 bucks. So happy.

Really quick and easy to get passport photos done and helped me find a place to take digital camera lessons as well. Very helpful staff!

Great prices for film, quick turnaround time for colour dev (about three business days atm, though check with staff) and knowledgeable staff. So glad they're around on the North Shore! Saves you a trip downtown. Lowest Portra prices for 35mm I've seen, too.

I was so delighted to be served by Jeff whose knowledge of camera gear is impeccable. His 30 somewhat years of experience of serving professional photographers and keen amateurs still shows his enthusiasm and eager to assist.I am looking forward to shopping all my camera gears in North Shore Kerrisdale.

These guys are so helpful! Came in a while ago with a strange camera rig I wanted to build, but didn't totally know how to figure it out. The man working went into great detail, pulled up various examples, and helped me look for affordable parts. Really appreciated that he helped share his immense knowledge and point me in the right direction
