We celebrated my father and his partners' retirement party here. Julia made it so easy to organize. Our server was stellar. The food was excellent! Between the melt in your mouth steaks, robust charcuterie boards, would give the Barbara Caffe a perfect score. Thanks so much❣️

We had a fabulous evening for our Christmas party with 24 friends at Barbara Cafe. We had a buffet style dinner that was delicious with an abundance of options from antipasto, pasta, meats, pizza and sides. There was a lot of food and they made sure to keep checking on us and replenishing. Everything tasted great! From when we sat down and organized the party to the actual event the staff at Barbara Cafe went above and beyond for us and we had a great evening! Highly recommend for dinner or for your next party.

Wonderful romantic restaurant. Food from appetizers to entrees and desserts are divine. Service attentive, helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back with family.

I went for lunch with a group of twenty. I was not impressed. We were there for an hour before they came around to even take our orders. They did bring us a bread basket and told us the specials so we weren't ignored but then they disappeared. I ordered the grilled chicken which was seasoned nicely but was dry. The grilled vegetables were good though and they gave me a free dessert to make up for the chicken. The desserts were excellent. Carrot cake and a chocolate torte. They told us they added an automatic 18% tip when serving large groups. I don't like when they do this because then there is no incentive to provide good service. As I predicted the service was poor. The water jugs were not filled promptly and it was a long time before they brought the bill. They cashed out a couple of our party because they had to leave early but then disappesred again. When I went to look for someone to bring the bill there was no one around. The worst though was the woman's washroom. It stank. There was no soap or paper towels available. The event was saved by the company I ate with but the restaurant was a definite disappointment. There were some pluses but the service and the food made me give them only three stars. I won't go back.

The food is amazing but honestly I come here almost every day!! The pasta and the salad and soups are amazing!! A beautiful family orientated restaurant. Chris and Julia are amazingServers They are always willing to accommodate when you come in without reservations. My favourite place to go!!

Our group thoroughly thought this little out of the way place was great. It was quite a ways out in Stoney Creek for those of us from Hamilton Centre but worth the drive. My chicken parm with spaghetti was so good there was nothing left on the plate. The carrot cate was a great top off to the meal and filled with nuts, raisins and topped with creamy cream cheese icing. Yum! Group was large so it was a wait as they brought everything out at once but it was all hot! Slow getting bills and some had to ask as they had other obligations to get to. Would return for sure.
