Withdrew a large amount of USD cash via debit, only to find out minutes later my trip was cancelled. Walked back into the exchange and received a complete refund back into CAD. Respectable and efficient.

Better rate than banks. No waiting time. No need for appointment. Plenty of parking lot on the street. Only one (that I know of) in downtown Kingston.

Banks or airports make no effort to be competitive. Any foreign exchange in Toronto or Ottawa will beat Wellington's rates. Amounts less than $2500 can be ordered online and delivered, usually in the denomination of choice. Even with the $10 fee for delivery, it is still cheaper than Wellington. Most Toronto or Ottawa foreign exchanges will beat the rates of any competitor. For example, Interchange Currency Exchange - open 7 days a week. I usually stop in on my way to the airport. The savings are significant - do the math.
