Main Street Bicycles

I've had 2 other less than stellar service issues at Main Street so I really have to blame myself but what can I say, I'm an optimist. I brought the bike in to get rear brakes fixed and the man at the desk sold me on a $90 tune up package. Why not as the bike has not been serviced since we bought it at another store (KLM)-18 months ago. Picked up bike and the guy showed me they had changed out the brake cable and assumed the bike was tuned up. Test rode in parking lot and immediately came back in and asked them to check the brakes. The rear brakes were barely working. I was able to peddle pretty easily with rear brake completely depressed. they made a few quick adjustments and the problem was not getting much better. The counter person agreed that this issue needed more than turning the adjuster on the cable and they wrote another work order. I left bike for 3 more days as they wanted to re-do the brakes. Picked bike up again and it was no better than when I had left it 3 days ago. Not sure why no one advised me as to other options like replacing pads but Andrew did advise me to tell my wife to make sure she used both brakes and she should be ok. I think the better advice wold be to not go to Main Street Bicycles for service.

I brought in two bikes and did not have an appointment, one needed new tubes in both tires, one needed the gears adjusted. Both bikes were fixed within 15mins and I was on my way. So grateful for their quick help and expertise! Great prices as well! I couldn’t be happier! Will be a customer for life!

Honestly, if you are getting your first bike, go somewhere else. This store does not offer a return/exchange policy. I found that out after I paid. Should have been explained to me before paying. A lot of bike shops have return/exchange policies within a certain amount of time..I mean you can even return a car within 3 days.Do your homework on where you buy your bikes from.If you do decide to purchase a bike from here, make sure you are 2000% comfortable with the size of the bike regardless of what the sales person says during the “sizing process”.

The staff is professional they changed my sprocket. My bike runs better, and the guy gave me a new. Brand new bearings, just a first class operator those guys are my new best friends

I'm relatively new to serious cycling and wanted to upgrade to a road bike. I wasn't too sure what bike I should purchase considering I've never owned a road bike, I ended up purchasing the Specialized Diverge from them (excellent bike!) The staff here is extremely helpful and not pushy like you might experience from other bike shops. I put in a ton of miles in a week so naturally the bike will need some fine-tuning here and there and they're always willing to identify the problem and then fix it. Admittedly I'm not mechanically inclined so this is a huge help when a problem arises. They're a pleasure to work with and my future bike purchases will definitely be with them!

I bought a Specialized Pitch about a month ago, and I initially had few problems with the bike as it was breaking in. As I rode few issues came up and I would bring the bike back and tell them what the problems were and they would fix it without hesitation, this happened a couple of times and I was sure they were gonna be annoyed, but they weren't. I love the staff, super professional!!! Totally recommend this place!!

One of the best cycle shops around. My wife bought her bike here years ago and had a great experience. Knowledgeable staff, good inventory, great prices, etc.I was recently in a bind while out riding and they took the time to help solve my issue. It would have been very easy for them to turn a blind eye and they did the opposite. I can't recommend this store enough. I will be a life long customer.

I’ve been going to this bike shop for years. Recently, I purchased a new bike, Specialized Rockhoppper Expert ( thank you Nathan and Adam).My husband and I have visited the shop several times for different services. This team is the best I’ve ever encountered in any type of the service industry. Can you say AMAZING customers service? They get it. Hats off to the manager who also oversees the Lake Orion location. Can't say enough about my experience. Thank you Main Street Bike Shop team- you guys rock!

Their repair services were inexpensive and so far exceed expectations. I don't know how people afford these new bikes. But they fixed up my 20 year old bike in a few weeks.
