Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo

The zoo was operating on winter hours and entry is by donation. I was there during feeding time and it is very obvious by the quality of food the animals receive, just how important those donations are. Fresh fruit and veggies, cut up for the porcupine. Baby chicks and mice for the owls and hawks. Fresh portions of raw meat for the meat eaters and tons of hay for the bison, antelope and deer!! The lynx and bobcat and snow leopard are highlights of the park. The park offers a great walk around as well as the exciting and beautiful animals. A great spot to take the kids to wear off some energy and have a learning experience at the same time!!

Park is nice but Zoo was expensive with not many animals around. If you would like to go for a picnic the whole day with family this would be a great place to go for....just don't go to the Zoo...was expensive and nothing much to see really....even though it wasn't a hot day when I was visiting! Good place to take pictures and walking on trails

We bought a pass for the year and have already paid for it. The pass includes parking! We tell everyone about it. The zoo is a great place to spend a few hours while visiting with others. The kids always stop at the park, and then we end it with a treat from the Buckeye Cafe.

Very nice in spring, most of the animals were out and visible. Geese are nesting everywhere so children need to be aware not to approach them. It is a great place to bring the family for a walk and to get outside.

Always a treat to go to the Forestry Farm. The zebras aren't out yet so I will be going when they are cleared. I'm glad to see they aren't focusing on the money and instead focusing on the health of the animals. That being said, we were told before the pandemic that the bears were getting a new habitat. That should have been a priority. The bears look stressed to the point that one was only walking around in circles.

Overpriced entry fee and concessions. Good for families with young children.

Very relaxed Vibe, great place to have a picnic and a wander. Sad to have the old tunnel and Park closed. The old brown two story building was closed too. Would have likes more interactive activities. The poision frogs were very cool. You can rent a wagon for $5, that was helpful. I would just suggest to stay clear of the geese.

Amazing place, has changed quite a bit since I was a kid, animals are in good shape looked well looked after, unfortunately you can no longer bring a picnic inside. A few bad apples ruined it for the rest of us, however they still have a concession there with daily specials and quality food. Highly recommended attending if you are in the city for the dayThe park is also beautiful and should not be missed at all. Highly recommend checking out the meditation garden
