Doug Miller Books

Came here after going to a few other book stores (I enjoy going to local book stores). This is the best book store in Toronto I've been to so far. Bought so many books. Doug knows everything about his stock. Just ask him. He loves to read and can therefore give you great recommendations as well. Thanks Doug for a great experience! Looking forward to see your Lego dioramas!

The most well-organized used bookstore in the city. Simply a pleasure to visit. There is also tons of Lego for aficionados as well. They also have a very well-developed fantasy section.

Could spend hours in here just going around the whole store and checking out the books! Its a small store that I came across while walking around the city. Its organized by the type of book and you can find a good deal on old books if you look around. Books are also at a great price of around $10 each. Got even sales of $1-$2 books too. Accepts all payment types, owner is also super nice!

Local book store with a wide variety of books - packed to brim with books - can be a little overwhelming. Mr Miller and staff have almost an encyclopedic memory of their inventory and can find or suggest exceptional reading for you. My kids love the Lego and comic book selections!

This is the best bookstore in Toronto. Doug is a curator of some of the most amazing books you can find. There's new and old books. Books for toddlers, teens, and adults, from many different eras: old children's tales with the record to listen to as you read, Archie comics, and anything that meets your fancy. He has books that are absolute treasures. I found a publication circa 1851.More importantly, Doug is a wealth of knowledge on the subject of the printed word. I rarely shop elsewhere. If I find a book elsewhere I call Doug first because he probably has it in better condition and for a more reasonable price. Doug will also point you where you need to go if he cannot source what you are looking for. If you are a book fiend then you've come to the right place.Doug Miller Books is, hands down, the best little bookstore you will ever walk into.

Great place, now one of my favourite preowned bookstores in Toronto. Doug is a very kind person and literally knows all books in the store, proving his mettle as he welcomed me into his store. He also showed me around the store and spoke about his collection!There's also a greatly abundant collection of LEGO pieces and characters (he has over 10,000 of them stored away-so you can practically find all LEGO characters here), impressive LEGO shelves, table and an archway easily amassing over 100,000 pieces in constructed furniture.Warm place, warm vibes. Will frequent!

AMAZING BOOKSTORE!!!!!! Came here with a friend and I must say... Dougie's got it goin on. Found these special edition classics (in photo below) selling for only about $10 each. They look like they would be on the library shelf in peter pan novel. I would have gotten them, but I already have these books in a much uglier non special edition. The owner was a rad dude. He is obsessed with Lego's almost as much as I am obsessed with writing reviews. He has a shelf, filled with hundreds of Lego figures selling for about $12 a piece. He also made an arch (in photo below) and the front cash desk out of Lego. At this vintage bookstore, you can find things like classics, deadpool comics, children's books, newly released books, war books and much more :) I was asking the owner about a book I was looking for and he told me that he didn't have it in stock currently. He redirected me to another vintage book store he thought would have it. I love when business owners are confident in their own stock and kind enough to assist you, even if they don't make a purchase out of it. In the end my friend bought 2 books, one of which was $5 by Virginia Woolf. Giving this store 4 stars out of 5 because it has yet to become a favorite of mine, I have no doubt it will ;)

perfect and absolutely affordable.it’s a bit crammed (with books of course) but it’s just how I like it! The owner is very sweet and gives a cute little bookmark with your purchase!!!!! I will be coming back (:update: the next time I came he had a selection of bookmarks to choose from… I love the one with the doggy on the ladder!!

Amazing shop with a massive selection of books and graphic novels. Prices are the best in the city. I've been coming here for years. Doug is super friendly and very helpful. A gem of a bookstore.
