Tao Nails

Tao Nails is great! The girls are friendly and the building and tools are very clean. I had gone to Tao to get my nails done for a wedding. Unfortunately, my nails did not take well to Gel Nails and some fell off. The manager was kind enough to correct the situation with Solar Nails and they have been great every since. I will definitely be back as the customer service was everything you could ask for! Thanks ladies!

A couple weeks ago I came to get my nails done and unfortunately I did not make and appointment so I couldn't get in. I went to a different salon and my nails were GARBAGE. Today I came in and Anthony and Anne did they magic and let me tell you I WILL NEVER GO ANY WHERE else but here. These 2 are nail GODS!!! My nails are flawless and GORGEOUS and I couldn't be more happy... I HIGHLY recommend this salon. They are literally AMAZING!! Thank you guys so much❤- Latisha

Hands down the best nail place in Calgary! Ann and Anthony are the best humans you'll ever meet who always ensure you are 100% satisfied. I have been seeing Ann and Anthony for awhile now but not only do they do an amazing job on your nails, but they dedicate their focus on you and create a positive environment when you are there. This is the only nail salon in Calgary that is reasonably prized and one that you can count on. Check it out yourself!

I have been getting my nails done on and off for 10 years. I’ve never found a salon that I felt like committing to. That was until I started going to Tao Nails. The salon itself is spotless and the staff are extremely friendly. The schedule is well organized so I know that if I book an appointment I’ll be seen reasonably on time (not the case with many salons I have been to over the years). I’ve been going consistently for about 9 months now and I’ve never left unhappy.

Horrible experience with Tao. Got my nails done and within 48 hours one nail completely broke off (It was powdered gel). I called to let them know about the problem. They told me to come back in and they could fix it. I was out of town so that was not a possibility for me. Alternatively they sent me a picture of the colour I had and told me I could go to another salon in the city that I was in to get the nail replaced. I was not able to do that as I was a maid of honour for my best friends wedding. It was so embarrassing to have my entire nail off, while I’m a bridal party. The next day an entire corner of my thumbnail came off so I was even more annoyed as I was not even doing ANYTHING remotely rough enough for such a thing to happen not once BUT TWICE! I called Tao again and let them know yet again of the new issue. The man who I spoke to said the reason that this had happened to me was because “I wash my hands too much”. When I finally arrived back in Calgary 5 days later, I went into the salon and even 5 days later my nails had grown out so much which NEVER happens as my nails take a very long time to grow. So I went in, the owner of the salon did not even greet me or acknowledge me even though I was so polite and even booked an appointment to have the nails fixed which I shouldn’t even have had to do that. The guy who works there fixed the thumbnail and the broken nail. He would not do a fill for me even though they definitely needed to be filled……. Very disappointing that they could have just done it properly the first time to avoid any of this headache. I left the salon and within 2 days THREE MORE NAILS broke off entirely!! I’m not sure what kind of cheap nails they are using these days at TAO but they definitely are the poorest quality. I have been going to Tao ever since they first opened and I never had a problem with their nails/service before. I am very disappointed that they hardly took accountability for the quality of their supplies and barely rectified the problem. Instead they blamed me for washing my hands too much (during a pandemic..) seriously if the nails cannot withstand a bit a hand washing that’s a whole other problem in itself. The owner is usually pretty kind but this time she did not once offer an apology of even come to take a look at the nails, I would not have even bothered writing this review if she could have shown a bit more interest or customer service, especially since I’ve been such a loyal and frequent customer. Overall I would strongly advise anyone wanting good quality nails to not support this business, as it will be a waste of time and money =(Zero stars if I could rate them.Response to Tao:Than you for the apology. I would like to add however that in your response to my review you mentioned that I told you I have never been to the salon before? Not sure where that came from because I have been to Tao at least 5 times previously, including multiple times with family and friends who I believe you are very familiar with. It’s correct that I no longer get my nails regularly done, however the last time prior to summer when I booked with your salon was May 2019. It’s still a shame that I had to have 8/10 nails replaced within one week of my service- that in itself goes to show how unpleasant my experience was. Anyways no hard feelings- it is what it is, I sincerely wish you the best of luck in the future and hopefully future clients can have a better experience than I did, as you continue to improve on service and skill.Regards,

Hands down, the best pedicure I’ve had in a long time! Very clean, my aesthetician was friendly and did a fantastic job or my very neglected feet.Highly recommend and will be returning ❤️❤️

When they first opened a few years ago they offered great service, offering cucumber water and being very attentive. They are still very accommodating with walk ins and they have a good selection of services. But my last few experiences have come a bit short with the pedicure itself not being great: polish chipped right away, my feet were not fully cleaned, and the leg massage was short/not good compared to the one my sister got as she received the same service beside me. There are cheaper places that I think would offer the same experience.

My daughter and I went for pedicures and a manicure. Ann and Anthony were so friendly and Awesome. They treated my young daughter like she was the most special client. Huge selection of nail colours. The salon was clean and well sanitized. We will definately go back.
