I would give them 6 stars if I could. Price is reasonable. Staff was super nice, friendly, and welcoming. Lina did my shellac pedicure, she was super precise and it turned out amazing! Had my brows waxed my Lily and I was very pleased with the results :) I would EASILY recommend this place to anyone!

They are always willing to take walk-insAnd do a very decent job! Price is competitive as well.

QUICK SUMMARY: Nail skills are not great compared to other salons charging the same price. Dishonest and will take advantage of you if you are new to their salon. Look elsewhere if possible.I needed a fill yesterday but unfortunately, my regular nail salon was closed. I decided to make an appointment with Vanessa Nail & Spa after reading the reviews and even agreed to stick around after they informed me that hydro had cut off their power and were working in the dark.My nail tech, Gina was kind but her nail skills leave very little to be desired. She didn't pay much attention to the shaping of my nails and even hurt me with the nail drill while filing the sides. I was very understanding given that she was working in the dark but at the end she informed me that she would be using UV Gel and charged me for it. Upon doing my research, I learned that she actually used acrylic, which is known for its cheap composition and could lead to nail irritation and bacteria growth causing green nails (of course, depending on the application but I never opted for it in the past for above mentioned reasons).Further to this, when she removed the dark red nail colour I had on my nails, I realized that she left little speckles of it which is now seen through as I had chosen a nude colour.I am so disappointed at the nail salon's audacity to be so dishonest and sloppy at the same time. Ultimately, maybe it was my fault for allowing them to work on my nails in the dark but where I was seated (near the entrance) received direct sunlight through the windows which I thought was ok and the reviews seemed to be ok as well.Needless to say I will not be coming back and if you are in a pinch and looking for a new salon, please do your research and do not let them talk you into buying a service you are not really getting.The upside to this place is that they seem to cater to their existing clients- Gina even called 2 clients whilst working on my acrylic set to tell them to come in so they work on them in the dark.All in all, the look of my nails from afar look OK-not bad at all. I have had better finishes and customer service at other nail salons but the experience I had there for the first time left a really bad taste.

Love this place! Easy to make an appointment or even walks in.Never had my nails this strong and healthy. Lovely staff ♥️

I have been coming to Vanessa nails since they opened in 2009. They are always willing to fit me in and can do lots of different services - and oh la la - so many polish colour choices . I like DIP nails. And I like that they do both appointments and walk in and open late. Sometimes they even stay open later for you too. Very nice neighbourhood nail salon. Glad they are here!

Vanessa Nail & Spa is very friendly and welcoming. They do excellent work.It could improve on its hospitality by speaking more with the customers. It felt like the staff were only speaking among themselves.
