High Country Sporting Birds

We had a great experience with High Country Sporting Birds. The terrain was fantastic and Charlie was a knowledgeable guide. The weekend was a highlight of our year. I would highly recommend HCSB if you love hunting pheasants (with or without your own dog).

Amazing experience, couldn't have asked for a better weekend.We took our 12 man crew for a much needed work retreat. It was a beautiful winter hunt with lots of cover and some great flying birds. Charlie, his crew of handlers/guides and the Big Bar Guest Ranch handled to group size with ease. The group had both experienced pheasant hunters and guys who got their first hunting license just to come.Charlie did a terrific job gauging the guys to put us in successful situations. I should say that they put everyone on lots of birds, if they missed that was on us.Thanks Charlie for an unforgettable hunt, it has been a month since the hunt and the guys are still talking about it everyday. The dog work and points are burned into memory. Luckily we have video, photos and full freezers to remind us!We very much hope to do this again!With gratitude,Nicholas Chee

An amazing time with Charlie and his team!Cannot suggest it enough. We took our 12 person crew for a much needed weekend getaway. We had a mix of experience levels from brand new(took the hunting course just to come) to 60 year bird chasing veterans. Charlie was able to judge our group well and create a successful environment for everyone of them.The dogs and handlers were a wonder to watch and hunt over. The land was absolutely stunning, it was a winter hunt but still held a good amount of cover.The Ranch kept us well feed, the log cabins were warm and cozy after a long day in the field and stocked with cut wood for the stove.The guys are still talking about it every day.Thanks Charlie and team, we hope to see you again soon!

Great Hunt! Charlie puts on a great show. His Ring is very big with lots of cover. He had nice birds that fly fast and tails counted out around 35-42 bars. My son and friends really enjoyed themselves.

Have the privilege of hunted with Charlie and his dogs twice now. An unforgettable experiences, that only gets surpassed by the incredible scenery. The dogs worked tirelessly to find us the birds, and they are spectacular to watch when they did so. To top it all off, the pheasants were delicious!

It was our first time pheasant and chukar hunting over dogs. Charlie, Clyde and Maggie made it a very enjoyable and memorable experience.Charlie was very accommodating and catered to our abilities and skills perfectly. He had a lot of knowledge and fun facts to share too. Clyde and Maggie were tireless and pointed and held the birds very well. As a team, Charlie and his dogs enabled us to be successful on our hunts and made our time with them a lot of fun.Leading up to our trip, Charlie helped us with finding accommodation, gave us directions, and provided advice on gear, guns, ammo, and clothing.The landscapes and sceneries of the different hunting grounds were beautiful also.We loved our time with High Country and hope to be back soon.

High Country is an amazing spot for affordable Pheasant Hunting.Charlie works very hard to make sure all of his hunters have a great experience. The hunting grounds are spectacular!!! I only wish that my dog and I had another day as neither of us wanted to leave. Definitely will be back soon

We had a great 2 day hunt with Charley. Birds were excellent and the scenery was great. The cabin was also great with 4 queen rooms and 2 single rooms with 2 beds . We will be back ! Thanks Charley and Gil !
