Waited a long time for a table, but we were not disappointed. The service was exceptional, and the food was even better. Haven't had sushi that good in a while, and I'm thinking it's probably one of the best I've ever had. I recommend the sashimi, fresh and so good.

Food was good and service was fairly quick given you have to hand write order vs using a tablet like other AYCE sushi spots I've been to. Servers were all very friendly as well. Only issue we had was that items we ordered were not brought to the table so we had to reorder again

I went out for lunch here. It was easy to get a table and the staff were quick and helpful (specially Summer). They had solid Sushi and Appetizer options and decent prices. I generally liked the food and would recommend. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is quite nice too.

Great sushi and as good of an all you can eat that I’ve had in a while. They also have a kids price, which’s makes it family friendly.

Kinkaku is a staple for Waterloo students and did not disappoint when I visited two years after my last time in the city. Unlike other restaurants, their quality has stayed consistent past the pandemic and they continue to offer the top AYCE sushi in the KW region. Their price is higher now (I think I paid $37 pp before tax and tip) but that is the case at any restaurant in 2022. The service was amazing and prompt and we had no issues fitting in all our orders in the short 1.5hr seating period (at least, shorter than other AYCE).You'll want to make a reservation if you don't want to wait. I thought after two years and the opening of Jinzakaya (their sister restaurant closer to campus) that we would have no issue getting a table, but we still had to wait 1hr on a Saturday night. Will definitely come again, I only wish there was a location closer to the GTA! ;)Must tries in my opinion: Big hand roll (pictured), garlic steak, steamed egg, carpaccio.

Overall 4.5 out of 5. The food was really good, there were so many options to choose from. There's a camera right before the washroom so don't get caught trying to throw food out and order responsibly because they will be able to see you. Other than that very appreciative for the service :)

I went to this place with my wife and we had a blast with the All you can eat for $40 per person. The food is amazing. Karage is a must try.Dumplings were awesome and the sushi options are really good.We tried to taste as many different items from the menu as possible but one sitting is not enough for sure. Will be visiting again soon!Hot Sake is a must-have.

Love the buffet like concept of choosing and having your orders brought over to you. Menu has a lot of variety and we got to try many different dishes. My advice is go when you are hungry but pace yourself. Staff is friendly and the restaurant had a warm and welcoming ambience. COVID restrictions are being observed. The sake is good quality, the food, especially the sushi and wontons, were delicious and the wait for your orders as expected. Will definitely return to this restaurant and would recommend as a great Asian dining experience.
