Although we had a great time on the hill and in the village, we did have a couple issues along the way and one major concern was the complete with holding of our damage deposit a few days after our stay. Chalets at Big White withheld our damage deposit due to a failed chair ($500), garbage (rubbish) left behind ($50), and a noise complaint ($150).During the first day, one of our party members pulled out one of the bar chairs, sat down in it and the back broke off. Upon closer examination, it looked like the chair was already previously damaged and was not detected by the last property “check out” walk through. Also noted was the faded color of the chair seats indicating that these chairs have seen enough wear to discolor the dark brown seats to a whitish brown. We called in and notified Chalets at Big White by phone about the failed chair and even had the hot tub maintenance guy personally inspect the chair. Our cause of event – faulty chair.Chalets at Big White cause of event – misuse. On the second day of our trip we were chatting and reminiscing about our evening out in the living room/kitchen area and got a phone call from Chalets at Big White about a noise complaint. We apologized for our mild socializing and using our feet to walk around the property after quiet hours on a Friday night – quiet hours being form 8am to 10pm.Our perception – talking and eating snacks on a Friday night after 10pm is a normal and expectable noise level.Chalets at Big White perception – if anyone calls in reporting a noise complaint for any reason, justified or not-justified, you will be charged regardless.During the checkout day, we followed the checkout procedure in the rental unit binder located in the property and felt we had a done a good job tidying up the residence. As instructed by the procedure in the “welcome binder”, we put towels in bathtub, wash all dishes, and took out all garbage/waste. We did have our recyclable, bottles and cans, bagged up and were not sure where they were to be put since recycles are not listed in the checkout procedure. We attempted to call Chalets at Big White during our checkout but again we encountered their voicemail machine. Therefore, we decided to leave the recyclables just outside the hot tub access door and the Chalets at Big White cleaning staff could handle them from that point. Our perception – We followed checkout procedure and attempted to gain additional info from phone call.Chalets at Big White perception – We left rubbish behind which results in a “rubbish” charge. After becoming aware of the damage deposit withhold against our group, I got in contact with the on-site manager and we had a lengthy but unproductive conversation. The on-site manager told me to contact the owner of Chalets at Big White, so I then emailed the owner, who supposedly goes by the name of Matt, over two months ago and still have not heard back from anyone. If you choose to stay with Chalets at Big White, I would highly recommend the following:• Doing your own walk through upon arrival at the rental unit with the manager, taking pictures and notes along the way. From our experience, sit in/test all the furniture and make sure it is not damaged already.• Before 8am or After 10pm, make sure you are in bed not moving about to avoid costly noise complaint charges. If you’re having a bad day and wish to make another renter lose a portion of their damage deposit, simply call Chalets at Big White sometime during quiet hours, between 10pm to 8am, report they were being noisy, and they will be charged $150 automatically without question.• Review check out procedure thoroughly as we did and ensure to take recyclables with you. Thanks for reading.

We stayed at there Pine Place rental with 9 people. Very comfortable and lots of room for 9 people. The ski in ski out was very easy and right out the back door. The rental was well equipped with everything needed for a stay. There is even a waffle maker and champagne glasses and lots of spices. The hot tub was really nice after a day on the hill. The village is only a 10 minute walk away. It is uphill which is a little hard on sore legs but nice to get some exercise. We will be back.

Great vacation for our family with ages 10 - 65. Been coming to Big White for 20 years and stayed in a variety of condo style accommodations all over the mountain. The staff at Chalets at Big White were great to work with and quickly attended to any problems we had, which were minimal. Ski in/Ski out was almost perfect and the location of Spyglass in Happy Valley was great for all our youngsters and youngsters at heart. We will definitely be returning to Big White in the future and would recommend working with Chalets At Big White.

We had a fantastic holiday at Big White last month. Snow was great with quiet slopes. The friendly people at Chalets at Big White made the whole accommodation process easy from booking on the phone to meeting us at the apartment on arrival with a personal welcome. The check-out process was easy too (useful for our early departure). The apartment (401 Snowbird Lodge) was very luxurious with a private hot tub on the balcony looking out over the valley. Great for watching the fireworks every Saturday night. The ski-in and almost ski-out location made it easy too (You had to climb up a small bank of snow at the back of the building and cross the road to get to the track down to the lift). We will definitely be going back to Big White and would use Chalets at Big White again.

We had an absolute fantastic ski holiday in Big White this January. The chalet townhouse we booked via Chalets at Big White was 6 Alpine Timbers" and it was the best ski accommodation that we've ever stayed in for a skiing holiday. The chalet was a perfect size for 2 families of 8-10 people to be in stylish comfort. The chalet/townhouse's location was also amazing being ski in/ski out right at the top of the Hummingbird ski run and so close to the main street….and that heated ski/boot room on the main living level with the large boot drying rack was pure luxury!Dealing with Mark and Vickie from Chalets at Big White was also a pleasure - nothing was any trouble and their relaxed attitude makes you feel right at home!We loved it so much

Our stay in Big White was awesome - a fabulous ski resort with wonderful snow. The two bedroom condo was perfect for my husband, his brother, and myself - great ski-in, ski-out location, full kitchen, amazing master bathroom. But it was the folks at Chalets at Big White that really impressed us. A lovely young woman welcomed us into the suite and showed us around. And we got immediate attention from one of the owners when the propane ran out for the bbq. My brother-in-law forgot his lift ticket coupons at home. His wife sent them by express mail but they didn't get there until after we left. The owners took them to the ticket office and had a refund put through for all the tickets he bought that week. Now that is over and above what anyone could expect! I heartily recommend this rental company!

We stayed at Soaring Eagle for 8 nights over the holiday season. We arrived at the unit early in hopes of dropping off our ski stuff as we had an open bed truck that we didn't want to leave in a parking lot. We were told no because it was being cleaned. We understood that but were then surprised when we saw the cleanliness of the place. We also picked Soaring Eagle as no pets allowed. One of our guests is quite allergic. It was evident that dogs had been in there with the amount of dog hair and there were also dog bowls there. The microwave in the unit needs to be replaced as it heats the plates not the food. Lastly, in the check out manual we were surprised that we were required to take our garbage and recycling to a drop off depot. Given the holiday premium that was paid for this unit it is disappointing that this was the experience that we had.

We stayed at Dwight Out.....the accommodations were amazing and our home away from home was well equipped and clearly well taken care of. The place was clean and even better than we expected....the pictures do not do it justice. The location was great with ski-in ski-out access and lots of walking trails. We would definitely rent this unit again. Thank you for offering such a beautiful place that allows four legged family members as well. We treated it like our own and our entire family including our puppy had a wonderful vacation.

We booked through Mark & Vickie at Chalets at Big White this March and had a fabulous time. The service we received was superb both at the time of booking and whilst on the mountain - nothing was too much trouble. We were met on arrival and shown around the condo, which is beautiful. Mark and Vickie have also taken the trouble to include lots of resort information in the condo to help plan your stay.We stayed in Aspens 202 which is described as a one bedroom condo but is actually two bed, but the second bedroom gets classified as a den. It has a really top end spec with heated flooring, granite in the kitchen and fireplace and a real feel of luxury, with the hot tub overlooking the mountains and village. The Aspens must have the best ski-in, ski-out on the mountain. We stayed there with our son but it would be very comfortable with one or two more children or even two couples staying.Big White itself is a great family resort - we have been taking our son there since he was born; he is now twelve. The resort is geared around family life with loads of free stuff for the kids in the evenings. And then there's the snow - incredible! Even at the end of the season we were skiing on powder both on and off-piste. A far cry from all the crud we have skied in Europe at that time of year (or any other time). If you are looking for a great family resort with the best snow conditions Big White is a must and Mark & Vickie are great to book with - you don't get the feeling that you are dealing with a company, more like having new friends on the mountain.
