It's been about 2 weeks now, they have done nothing but take information from me and schedule irrelevant workshops in the upcoming month. I feel as someone who is unemployed, waiting a MONTH for a workshop that is irrelevant to what I am looking for is a waste of time. I will literally be homeless by the time that date comes around. They scheduled a time for me to sit down with on of the resume gurus. I showed up and no one was there. my meeting was 12 to 1, the exact time they close for lunch. After talking to someone about what it was I was looking for and how much I was expecting in pay, they showed me a few postings they felt would be good except they meet the pay requirements of some fresh to the workplace" kid. Extremely low pay jobs

I've had nothing but positive interactions all throughout my time with this WorkBC branch. From the initial intake process to working with my case manager now, I've been very fortunate to have been helped in such a steadily dignified, respectful, and positive way. Thanks to their work with me, I feel I'm on the right track again. Thank you.

This is a complaint letter about Mary.I contacted WorkbC in mid-January and visited their office on February 6th as scheduled. I was greeted by a woman named Mary. At that time, my job was unstable and I was at risk of losing it, so I expressed my concerns to Mary and hoped to receive help from WorkbC to learn new skills and find a new job. However, Mary insisted that my current situation was still considered employed, despite me telling her that I only had a few hours of work per week and could lose my job at any moment. She refused to provide me with any information or assistance. After losing my job in mid-February, I found a school where I could receive skill training, but I needed assistance from WorkbC. I called Mary and she told me to call her back on February 21st to handle my case. Finally, on February 21st, I called Mary as instructed. She answered the phone, said she was busy, and asked me to call her tomorrow. However, when I called back to ask her what time I should call, she never answered my call again. Mary's rude attitude was frustrating. I wanted to tell her that since it was her requested time, she should have arranged her schedule to accommodate mine. She should not have hung up on me with just a you're busy" excuse. If she was unable to manage her own workload

complete useless waste of time , they don't help you get a job at all . i have a university degree . all they do is let you have access to a computer if you don't have your own. how about actually helping people find meaningful work

alright... so these guys aren't bad. They WILL help the right people in the right circumstances more then people say. heed some warnings though.help seems to be geared towards entry level/teens/young adults who struggle to find work. There are programs and services and sponsorship that help fund training but accessing these are tricky- you have to have the right case manager (which apparently have high turn over), have a history of struggle, be in a good industry, lucky cards and stars lined up etc... sometimes it takes FOREVER to get funding or the right help. If you are coming in looking for the right help with work/funding for training right away your out of luck, look elsewhere and pay you don't lose in some wave of misfortune.I've seen older people turned down for certain funding cause they were overqualified" and could "already get stable work" according to the case manager
