We've just arrived in Kerrisdale / arbutus neighbourhood and we decided to go to this butchery. We're french and we didn't know the exact names of pieces we wanted (hampe, onglet, bavette d'Aloyau) but the staff were very helpful and patient with us. It's definitely gonna be our go to butchery from now on!

They say that third time is the charm, and that is exactly what I can say about this Butcher.I am from Finland and we make a traditional Finnish ham for Christmas.I had called multiple butchers throughout the week and decided to visit some today in hopes to find a ham.This was my third and final stop in the quest for the perfect ham, and this butcher did not disappoint.He and his team were extremely customer centric and helpful and he answered my prayers with the perfect size ham for me and my family.

Quality of the food is good, but customer service is very hit or miss. Ordered an 18 pound turkey, they didn’t have it. Didn’t bother to call me to let me know. They tried to sell me a 14 pound, saying that they saved the 16 pounds for other people…(I guess I don’t matter as much as they do). When I told Pete that I didn’t want it he didn’t care and didn’t apologize. It makes me sad because I like the quality of the product but I wish the service was as better.

Great selection of quality meats and super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I find no matter how busy they may be they always treat customers with patience and genuine care. Great prices for the quality you get. Definitely one of the best local neighborhood butcher's in Vancouver.

Fantastic butcher located on Arbutus &12th.Came in for one item and walked out with three and the desire to come back for more. Came away with house-made guanciale, English breakfast sausage, and duck rilletteExtremely knowledgeable, adroit butchers provided great advice.10/10 for quality and variety of meats offered.

Wow! What an incredible shop. I’m so impressed with the amazingly curated selection of beverages, condiments and goodies. Gorgeous meat selection, including many ready-to-cook items, and really nice made in-house items. I’ll be back to try the burger patties. Truly a wonderful store with personable service and only the freshest items in the case. Way to go!

I researched quite a few places when buying a large brisket for a house party. Pete’s Meat offered a reasonable price on a high quality product. They also perfectly seasoned and vacuum sealed the brisket for my Sous vide process. Fantastic service!

My favourite butcher in the whole province. Pete is brilliant, and his team just as lovely and knowledgeable as he is. In the 8 years I have been going, not once have I ever been disappointed in finding what I need. I love their food philosophy. I love all the products. I love the fact that they are truly what Community stands for.
