Ollie Quinn Optometrist

I normally don’t write reviews, but feel inclined to do so after my visit today. The physician and one staff member were fantastic (I didn’t know the names of the staff). They both answered my questions and were receptive to being helpful. However, the other staff member practically scowled when I walked through the door. I felt very unwelcome by her and like her expectation was that I should be walking on eggshells. I’m not intimidated easily so could really care less if someone is friendly to me or not, but this made me rethink if I will come back to buy some glasses there. If I’m going a decent amount of money on glasses then I’d rather shop from a place that the staff members at least act like they are interested in my business and act like they want to help me.

First of all, I really love the glasses I bought and my optometrist, Dr. Dhaliwal, for her meticulous and thorough assessment.However, similar to some of the reviews on here, there is one particular staff member who is extremely off-putting and unpleasant, which makes me and husband not want to return. This staff member has long dark hair and most of the time sits on the stool in front of her computer. She performed my eye pressure test without giving me any warning that there will be air being pushed into my eyes. She offered my dog treats by dumping crumbs from a dog treat bag onto the floor. She also asked my husband to go outside to wait for me while I was getting my eye exam even though he just had his eyes dilated and was experiencing significant light sensitivity. She is unwelcoming and unfriendly, and while I would still like to continue being an Ollie Quinn customer, if I see her in the store I will definitely avoid going in. Shout out to Emma who was amazing in helping me!!

Te return policy is different for purchases of prescription glasses ordered online vs those purchased in store. Only orders made online can be returned. So beware. They do not declare their store bought policy in the store. When I bought my glasses from the Ollie & Quinn store on Main St. in Vancouver, I asked about their return policy and they said changes could be made for up to 30 days from date of purchase". I was just visiting over Canada long-weekend and ended up coming in to browse glasses for a new prescription. I was instantly greeted by very warm staff who were helpful and knowledgeable, and quick to help adjust/tighten my old glasses free of cost!! As someone who knows nothing about the world of optometry and has had a hard time finding comfortable glasses for my unusual prescription, they did a fantastic job explaining it. I wasn't able to decide on a pair, but had some names of styles written down for the future!

I recently went in to the Main location to try and find some new glasses. I was welcomed warmly and presently surprised with all the options! I was having a hard time deciding and the staff was so wonderful at helping me pick! I would highly recommend going in!

Ang at the Main Street location is fabulous. She is very knowledgeable and helped me to find a pair of glasses that would work with my prescription. This was my first time at Ollie Quinn but it won’t be the last. Highly recommend.

I recently went to Ollie Quinn Main Street after hearing about it from my friend. From the time I walked in the door I was greeted. Angie helped me pick out some amazing glasses which I get so many compliments on and they fit amazingly!! Great location and lovely staff thanks!!!

Very grateful for Maia/Maya's support at the Main Street store. I recently bent the arms of my glasses by mistake and she was able to fix them for me and ensure they fit in a matter of minutes. Thank you!

I like the service at Ollie Quinn. All staff are friendly and professional. Moreover, Dr. Dhaliwal is very patient, meticulous , and kind to her patients. She examines your eyes thoroughly and refers to the specialists if necessary.So I would highly recommend to Dr. Dhaliwal for your spectacles or routine eye checkup.
