Sobeys - Millrise Plaza

If I go in person to buy groceries this is the place. Very clean and convenient location that has friendly, helpful customer service.

Everything seems to be well organized, so far, I haven't seen any produces rotten or getting wrinkles.I love the bakery department, I don't think I've seen so many selections from other Sobeys.The staff are always friendly, which is always a bonus!

So here is how pricing works..For months now I have gone to your store and bought a six pack 11.99 for single or 10.99 ea if I buy two of the Corona (non alcholhoic) beer. Yesterday the new price is 13.99 each. I can buy the same sixpack (cold) from the liquor store for $2 less. Every time I came to Sobeys for the six pack I would always buy several other items. Now I don't go to Sobeys and shop for groceries elsewhere. You won't miss my weekly visits but I won't be the only loyal customer you chase out of your store. In days of inflationary grocery prices, customers are more likely to price compare, and loyalties can be easily switched.

i just bought something from the store today and after eating what i just bought, i’ve had the worst food poisoning i’ve ever had. i thought it tasted off when i first started eating it but not being able to leave the toilet immediately after eating a portion of what i bought makes me believe it was what i bought that made me sick. i’ll be coming in to speak to customer service asap because it needs to be taken off the shelves. i’d hate for someone else to get the same thing.

This is a story about greed. Once upon a time, about 2 months ago, I discovered the best ham that was selling in this store and I've been buying it here ever since. The product came as one big piece, 1-1.5 kg at 18buck/kg. Very good ham. In fact, it was so good, that I started using this store as a one stop shop for all other items.One day I went shopping (ok, who am I kidding, I went to get a Dutch Crust bread and my hammm of course) and noticed that the entire shelf was empty. Wow, it must be popular, I thought to myself.I called a rep and asked if they happened to have some in the back. I am afraid that it is no longer available as a whole piece"

Staff are always helpful. A young lady named Sarah on the check out is always so polite and helpful, it’s always a pleasure to be served by her. She is amazing.

Today there was an unpleasant incident with my father-in-law. He recently arrived from Ukraine and is not familiar with local procedures and speaks English poorly. When he came before lunch, he picked up bananas, vegetables, and discounted nuts in a small basket. At the checkout, the cashier started explaining that the bunch of bananas should be put in a separate bag. And the basket should be given directly at the cashier, without allowing the elderly person to transfer the purchased items to his backpack in a more convenient location within the store. That's why the cashier will sell him a bag that he doesn't need without his consent. But what surprised my father-in-law the most was that the nuts were sold at full price. After he pointed out the mistake, the cashier's assistant ran to the product and confirmed that there was a discount on those nuts. This story surprised and made my wife and me think. Despite living here for a while and using this store, no one has ever mentioned the need for additional packaging for bananas. After finishing our daily tasks, we decided to go to the store for fun and buy exactly the same items, attempting to go to the same cashier. We took a small basket, put bananas and discounted nuts in it, and miraculously, no one mentioned the need for packaging bananas, but they tried to sell the nuts at full price. We showed a accidentely taken" photo of the price tag at the checkout

Average experience here. Store was clean, team members were polite, and the lighting was fresh.However, the store was notably inaccessible with a broken washroom, slim aisles, and endless bins blocking wider routes.The flower department was better than others at Supermarkets, and I hope the florists receive recognition for that.

Such a great store with all the selection I like. I often run through the self checkout and there seem to be quite a few young people who work there. They are always super friendly and sweet and I really appreciate it!

The staff in the meat department were super helpful to find and hold a 20 lb turkey for me and to contact me. The best customer service I’ve seen anywhere in a long time and with smiles on their faces. Thank you so much to staff in the meat department!
