I wish I could give 0 stars . The worst eye brow waxing ever in my life. The lady who did my eyebrows was very rough and gave me deep cuts and bruises just above my eyes. She literally ripped my skin apart , never going back again and writing this review just to beware future clients please consider reading this.

Overall experience was great! Today I had to adjust my appointment time and there was no issue with doing so. I’ve been a client with kurves for a year now and I’ve always been so happy when I walk out ! I come in for an eyebrow tint and dye, and I suggest fateema! Got mine eyebrows done today and couldn’t be happier!

I walked right in and was able to have a lash lift and tint appointment immediately. Cece was so great! She ran through everything with me and made me feel so comfortable. She's a pro! Love my Lashes!

KurvesBar was my go-to for eyebrows. I found their service pretty good and at a fair price. They did a good job with my eyebrows, and I was happy every time I left there. However, in January 2023 I went in for a simple cleanup that turned into the worst appointment I have ever had.The girl who did my eyebrows completely hurt me. She left me with blood marks and pieces of my skin cut, both on my eyebrow area and upper lip. She never greeted me or introduced herself and we were the only two people in the place; she only told me to sit down and went right into threading. She was very rough with the thread, and I could feel it snapping my skin. It was very painful, more than the usual threading pain. All I wanted to do was leave the place. Once it was done, I paid, left, and said to myself that I wouldn’t go back there. My skin was very red and swollen, when I got home I could only sob. Even days after that I still had the marks of the cuts on my face. I’d never gone through anything like that for eyebrows. In May, I called KurvesBar to book another appointment. I told them what had happened and that I didn’t want the same girl doing my eyebrows again; I was met with “I’m sorry, she won’t be in at this time”. When I went, I did have somebody else do my eyebrows and she was friendly, gentle and did a good job. So, I thought that things were figured out.I went back now in June, and to my surprise the same girl from January was the one to do my eyebrows. She was more talkative this time, but her threading was still very rough, and I left it one more time physically hurt. I don’t know what is going on, but KurvesBar needs to do something about this. The only reason why I decided to write this review was because I saw another comment with the same description of this girl, and she was rough with the client as well. This is a workplace that needs gentleness with the clients, otherwise it won’t work.I hope nobody else goes through this, and I don’t think I will be coming back to KurvesBar.

I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s been great… until my most recent visit. I started to notice a dry spot under my eyebrow after my appointment but never thought anything of it. It has now been over a month of having this dry spot, I have tried many over the counter creams but have had no luck. I have contacted the business by email twice about this and no response. Safe to say I will never return.

I have been many times, they do not know how to remove all hair from the root, whether its threading or waxing, also having clean hands or wearing gloves should be mandatory before touching a clients face.

I’ve been going to Kurves beauty bar at the Halifax Shopping Centre for a year now. I’ve always had a good experience with them however, this is the first time I’ve had such a horrible experience at my go to place and it’s safe to say that I will probably never visit this specific location again.I had gone to do a routine clean up as I do every month. My eyebrows are naturally full and defined and all I do is just clean them up every 4 weeks. The girl that did my brows removed rows of my eyebrow hair. She was very rough to the point where the thread broke twice. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years now, and it has never hurt or become swollen the way it did today. I even have small scabs as a result of today’s threading session, which of also never happened before. She removed huge chunks of my eyebrow hair, which you can see in the picture where it’s white and it’s very visible. It was a routine cleanup however, she did not even clean up the sides of my eyebrows, and just ended up thinning them out. The pictures show how the ends are not at all cleaned, in fact it doesn’t even look like I was at a salon.I did express that this is not what I wanted and the girl did offer to give me a discount but said it in a tone as if she was doing me a favour so I declined and paid the whole thing. By the time I got to my car my eyebrows had become extremely swollen and were hurting a lot so I began to cry and my best friend did call the salon up. They advised us to come back to the salon but I was a sobbing mess so I didn’t go back. I just feel like Kurves needs to have more professional staff because if this happened to someone with sensitive skin, they would’ve started bleeding from how roughly handled the threading was. I didn’t get the girl’s name but she was tall with glasses and had curly, dark hair. My eyebrows don’t even look the same anymore. One is slightly defined and the other one is round.

I went to Kurves in the MicMac and had a wonderful experience. I booked again, this time at the Halifax Shopping Centre, and could not have been treated worse. The lady doing them did not say more than two words to me the entire time, was extremely rough, and did a horrible job at an eyebrow wax. I hope possibly future clients are smarter than I and read these reviews because apparently I am not the first.
