On Board Marine Hauled out our boat on schedule and allowed us to work on the boat ourselves after completing the proper paperwork in the office. Everyone we met or spoke with showed an invested commitment to seeing us accomplish our goal of disassembling the boat for overland shipping east for the Great Loop. On Board Marine was there for us when the trucker needed a height reduction when the boat was loaded on the trailer and we were not in town to do the work ourselves. On Board Marine captured photos of our boat after loading on the truck and sent them to us which later came in handy. For anyone wanting to transport a boat to the east coast or receive a boat on the west coast On Board Marine has all the heavy equipment to pull your boat apart or put it together at a reasonable pace , cost and with a smile.Special thanks to Brad, Prudance, Sara, Clay, Johnny, Branden otherwise known as Archer and Keith. I called up to try and get my boat bottom painted at the end of the season before the really bad weather hit. OBM got me in that Friday and I was able to pick it up the next week. Everyone at OBM was friendly and professional. So glad there is a haul out in Blaine instead of having to go to Bellingham.

Overcharging/ Price misrepresentationI asked how much it would be to haul out our 25' sail boat, de-mast and put it on our trailer and was told $9/ft - $225.00. That's about what I paid the last time I had it hauled out. They sent a contract for me to sign and I did. I marked $9/ft. I called to make sure I had filled out everything correctly (inlcuding boat info) and he mentioned I would need it to be washed before leaving the yard. He didn't mention a price, which I saw later at $4/ft, but that's not the main issue. My husband went to pay and it was $1760 instead of $225. I emailed them to ask where these additions came from and received a long email about costs to run their company and equipment used that wasn't included in the agreement or relayed to my husband on the day. The office manager said it should have cost more, but they were being nice... I called two other boat businesses a couple of friends with boats and one who works in boat insurance, so lots of experience; all said I was overcharged. Next time we need this service, we'll go to Bellingham.

I had my 57' boat hauled by Westman Marine several years ago. I needed bottom paint, a repair to a stabilizer fin, and an extension to the rudder. All of the work was done in timely manner, and the bottom paint job was the best I ever had.

My problem was not with their quality of work. I live out of state and they told me the cost to re-install my radar arch was going to be approx $1600". They had an estimator look at it and quoted 16 hours. I was ok with that. They did call me and say that it was going to take a couple more hours. I was ok with that as well. When I arrived to pick up my boat they gave me a $3900 bill. Double what I was expecting. And you have no choice but to pay because your boat is sitting on land in their yard. As I said... the staff were helpful
