Torrent River Inn

Excellent location, friendly staff. Restaurant flexible with times etc, to a point. Fast service when order placed. No charge for storing salmon in their freezer while staying at the hotel, and willing to give ice for coolers. Perfect spot for staying for salmon fishing

I have never used the hotel so I will only review the restaurant, Pizza Delight.There is a huge selection of all kinds of food, from Newfoundland food to American food. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the food is stellar. Would strongly strongly recommend especially for tourists.

We booked a night here on our way to St Anthony, hoping to get a good night's rest. While the rooms were spacious and the decor modern and comfortable, any room 108 or less will put you right over the nightclub below and the music didn't stop until 1am!! Not a great experience, especially since we had our 10-year old son with us.

Walked in, everything seemed great. However, we were placed in a room that was over the restaurant/bar. Seriously, like who gives a room to a family that has a party going on down below? They closed the bar/music at 12 but kept the music going long after. I stayed there twice....first and last!

Really great spot if you're looking for a place to stay on the North Coast, rooms were nice and clean, staff were very friendly and there's a Pizza Delight, Broasters chicken and a bar all in the hotel!

Nice clean place right on the highway . The staff working here are very helpful . Had dinner here also and it was nicely portioned and was pretty good . If you’re looking for a place to stop driving and rest this is a great option !

Called in the morning to book a room for same night. Was not informed that their restaurant which is advertised as open until midnight is closing early these days due to Covid-19 (I completely understand closing early due to the Corona virus but tell people when they book). We arrived around 8pm, starving from a long day of travelling ready to dine at the hotel restaurant, only to be informed of the restaurants reduced hours. They now close at 7pm. When I inquired about where to go to eat I was informed the only other place in the area that’s still open is the Irving gas station next door! Front desk staff was less then helpful. Chips and chocolate for supper. Not a good start.Our room looks like it had some recent updates but was still old and dated. It was quite warm during the night and I tried to turn on the window A/C unit but it didn’t even power on. So I decided to open the window and was immediately greeted by the 3 or 4 moths that flew in our room because there was no screen in the window!The bed was comfortable and jacuzzi tub was nice even if the wall timer for the jets didn’t work properly.First and last stay at the Torrent River Inn.

One of the surprising things to those of us in The Rest of Canada is the lack of bank ATMs. Bars and restaurants (this one anyway) will let you draw cash from your bank account without questions. Newfoundland friendly!

My In-Laws were there a couple of weeks ago. My Mother-in-Law said the bed was made up but looked like someone had laid down on it after it was made up. She said the rooms looked like some upgrades were done but the cheap way and looked cheap but the room had that old smell.I stay there every week and I've stayed at better places.

Just an overnight. Room was everything you need for a stopover. Right on the main road so no time lost when heading through the Park. (Gros Morne)
