Taverna Raw Bar & Plancha
I felt very privileged to attend the soft opening of Taverna Raw Bar and Plancha this past Friday. The food was extraordinary and the sentiment seemed to be shared by the other diners I met there.. all of us oohing and awing over the freshness and taste of each dish. I had the shrimp which were exquisite, the tuna tartare which was something new for me because I am NOT a sushi aficionado but this dish captured my palate and I will have it every time I visit for sure. So much taste. To finish I had the melt-in-your-mouth cod... again an afterthought and was so glad I had it. First time in a long time that I walked out of a restaurant of that caliber for under a 100$ and was full til noon the next day. Kudos and cheers to a brand new restaurant in Hudson. I will be most certainly be back.

The oysters were delicious! Tartar trio was also very good. They had a special of Brussels sprouts with bacon that was also quite yummy. Small venue with cozy vibe

Absolutely delicious, great discovery. I had the oysters, they were very fresh and la mignonette was yummy. Ménage à trois was very refreshing… but the main meal !… Codfish a la plancha with a dill cream sauce. But that SAUCE, had a crunch…. Nice subtle Surprise… it was some perfectly fried garlic. It tasted like bits of crunchy garlic tempura in that delicious sauce! Wow wow! Am going back to taste everything else!! Bravo!! Oh the service was impeccable, warm, friendly and kind! The chef was this young cute and confident girl who wore a beautiful smile!

Been there a few times and everything is always excellent. The grilled Octopus is my favourite but everything on the menu is great including the exquisite tartars… Blessed to have it in Hudson.

Really lovely little spot in Hudson - the food was divine! Oysters are a must to start. We had cod & octopus as our mains, and we also shared their really special/unique poutine. Cocktails were also on point. Really happy to have discovered this local gem.

Moody and modern maritime inspired sophisticated decor. It's in a strip mall but they've made the best of it. Food was fresh and quite good served in delicate portions. Drinks were a delight. Service was warm and professional. Definitely visit this place in Hudson. It's the right spot between upscale and down to earth resto. Perfect for date night or lovely dinner with friends who enjoy this type of sitch.

The food was excellent!! Service was a little slow, but its understandable they were only 2 in a packed restaurant, but they were extremely nice and helpful. It's definitely a repeat

We had a really amazing experience at Taverna. All the food we had was exceptional. The oysters were some of the best I’ve had, partly because the accompaniments were so good. The lobster poutine was delicious, I’d love to know how they made the French fries so good! I had the Pineapple Mezcal Sour which was just superb, honestly one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Our waitress helped to absolutely make our night, she was such a sweetheart. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant.

The food was great, the Caesar’s were great, my biggest criticism is that our meal should be on bigger plates to accommodate all the fantastic tasting food going on. Our server was fantastic and attentive. The music was good- very contemporary and comfortable atmosphere.

Don’t get me wrong we love this restaurant, but……Last night we were two and booked a table for 18:30We got there and were seated right away, we ordered a glass of wine each and ordered a dozen oysters to share, to me a dozen is 12 not 11 is which we got, ok a little mishap, not a big deal.After the oysters (which were excellent) we ordered our main meal, we told the server that we are both are going to have the seafood pasta dish each and share the iceberg blue cheese salad wedge.My wife’s main dish came, only one pasta dish and the salad, the server said they would come back with a dish so we could share? (But we ordered one each) Who goes into a restaurant and shares a main dish and a salad? (Perhaps teen agers, maybe)We told the sever the error and they apologized for the error, I was looking at my wife’s seafood pasta dish which consisted of Clams Mussels, Calamar and small scallops and pasta it looked great and she said it was seasoned very well, mine came abut 10 minutes later, first thing I noticed was there were no mussels and 8 out of the 10 clams were not open, also the taste was very bland.I was wondering why the servers were not really paying attention to the customers in the restaurant, but then I noticed the servers and other staff were fawning over two people sitting and eating at the bar, seemed to be a big distraction, I think they were the owners.I will think twice about booking another table.
