They didn’t do it like I expected. It costs $70 for the manicure and they left me in a mess. I wanted to do the ombré color but the girl there did not know how to do it. It took her like almost an hour to go back and forth, sprayed and cleaned. She is very nice and friendly, but unfortunately her skill is not good. At the end, she had to ask someone else to do it for her. I was so tired of seating there for like 2 hours to get my nails done. I wasn’t satisfied with the result but I didn’t want to stay another 2 hours to get it fixed. My girl friend introduced me to this place and I wanted to try it out. I think when I had to pay a premium price for it, the quality should be better. My cuticles are not even clean after they finished. The ombre color has a lot of bubbles on it. When I came there, it was on a Saturday day and it was empty. Also, when I asked how much does it cost, she told me $45 for the manicure plus $15 for the ombre plus tax. I paid cash so 10% off. So it should be $60 plus tax and tips, but she told me to give her $65 plus tax and tips. Not even have 10% discount. I gave her $70 cash anyways, but I don’t like it is not clear about the cost. And she didn’t even thank me. She was like so upset. I won’t go back. I definitely do not recommend it!

Came to Tokyo Nails after a bad experience at a Yorkville salon. Jason transformed my gel nail extensions from being chunky to looking like my natural nail. His artwork is beautiful. And he is honest — telling me what will look good on my hands and match my style. Before I met Jason, I would only ever do French manicures. Now, I look forward to coming up with something new each visit.

I came here April 10th, had an appointment at 10:45am I asked for a full set acrylic, and it took so long I had to cancel a brow appointment because of how long it took and lost my deposit, the technician next to me took THREE clients before my set was finished and it wasn’t even good I left the salon at 12:30 and paid $100 for an acrylic set, tip included $5 just a minimum for the technician time even though my time couldn’t be respected! He prepped my nails didn’t even push my cuticle back or anything, if he was new or learning why not offer a student learning discount or atleast let the client know so I can book with someone else. The color and style I asked for was not at all like the photo, he had to show the picture to his coworkers to get advice on how to do it but it didn’t look the same and they still charged me extra, he was taking so long I just said whatever it’s okay just finish up. They also then charged me extra for the “design” which you cant even see. Then when I finished and went to wash my hands I noticed massive acrylic beads underneath 6 of my nails. At that point I was so frustrated I didn’t want to sit back In the chair. My total for an acrylic set $100 not even gel. Very sad because my first appointment was great which is why I came back.

I went yesterday and my nails are already chipping. Lack of attention to detail on my French manicure (I got regular polish). Beautiful spa but very disappointed - lots of bubbles, uneven tips.

Great job by Jason and I’ve gone to see him on a regular basis for biogel and refills! I always get compliments from friends and neighbours in the elevator of the beautiful designs and work he’s done!

This is my first time getting extensions, and Jay did a great job of accommodating me and my chosen design! He did a fantastic job and I couldn't be happier, and the images don't do justice to how sparkly and cute these are under lights. The whole set costed $124 (shellac removal + bio set), definitely going back here next time.

I have been going to Jason at Tokyo Nails for about two years now. He has such great attention to detail and always takes very good care of my nails. The french tip are extensions and the green nails are my natural length through biogel. I would recommend Jason to everyone!The nail salon is absolutely BEAUTIFUL too! All the staff are very kind and talented at what they do. It’s such a nice experience to spend time there. 10/10 recommend.

I had two experiences with two different professionals. The first one was not as good as the second. Yet, as I had liked the material used, I returned and took the risk of having my nails done with another professional, Jason.Jason is no doubt the best nail designer ever, very professional, indeed! My nails look natural and exactly as I requested.If you don’t know who is the best to do your nails, choose Jason, always fast and perfectionist, going way beyond any expectation you may have.
