Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre

My wife and I had our wedding at the Tigh Na Mara Resort in mid-May 2023 and the entire process was wonderful and consistently exceeded our expectations.The resort itself is situated right on the beach in Parksville and access was easy to get right down to the water. Our room had a gorgeous oceanfront view with a deck and offered stunning views of the sunrise, sunset and beaches. All of the rooms, facilities and ground we used were remarkably well maintained and very beautiful.The wedding itself was a wonderful affair - the Ceremony and Reception went perfectly and the entire staff was extremely welcoming to all of my guests, myself and the Bride. Every single resort employee we interacted with was very helpful, kind and professional. The staff, waiters, kitchen team and bartenders who helped with the Reception were all wonderful. The food and drinks were of extremely high quality.We planned our wedding remotely from Edmonton, AB, and Jackie, the resort wedding planner, was remarkable every step of the way. She made planning everything through emails and phone calls very easy and the final result on our wedding day was perfect.This resort gets my highest recommendation both as a guest for two nights and as someone who had their wedding on location. We did not have the opportunity to try their on-site restaurant or the Grotto Spa but we will be back for another visit soon.

My mom and I came here for a birthday celebration spa getaway and Tigh-Na-Mara did not disappoint. The rustic cabins were the real deal log cabins. We had a cute duplex with a full kitchen.The spa was very nice indeed, with a relaxing dip in the grotto pools, followed by a facial and then rest in the lounge area. We ate at Cedars restaurant which was a fine dining experience. I had the braised short rib gnocchi. The only thing I missed was I didn't get to see the seaside on our stay, our room was in the middle of the property and there was a king tide and lots of rain so accessing the beach wasn't recommended. We will have to go back in summer time to get the full experience.

Our wedding at Tigh Na Mara exceeded our expectations and then some! We had an absolutely magical weekend from start to finish - from the relaxed and beautiful BBQ rehearsal dinner, to the beautiful ceremony, all the way to the very end of absolutely gorgeous reception!Jackie was an absolute hero in keeping everything (AND US) organized and fun , and immediately felt like a friend you’ve known for years.The food was delicious, (one friend said it was the best buffet they’ve ever had), the service was impeccable, and the location and room ,with special touches for us, couldn’t be more beautiful.(Photos of our day by Billie Woods!)

I stayed in an Oceanview suite in the Gabriola building. I stayed on the main floor and I recommend staying on the main or upper floor. The balcony was spacious and had a great view. The suite had everything you will need; coffee, tea, creamers, furnished kitchen, and fluffy bathrobes!

My partner and I got married here last weekend. From the moment we reached out to Jackie (the wedding coordinator) to our wedding day, they were nothing but incredible! Jackie is extremely responsive and flexible. Everything ran on time and was so smooth. I was so impressed! The entire team is so friendly and we could not be happier with having our wedding here! Our guests had the best time! It felt like fancy summer camp for everyone! I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

My wife and I have been here many times when in Parksville. We have enjoyed it everytime. Rooms are ok - nothing special but the views are great! The main reason we stay is there Dip and Dine package which is great! Buuuuuuuut, we have now need told they won't accommodate food allergies (they have in the past without hesitation). So now that this has come up we will not be back. I know it is hard to avoid in certain situations, but it's also not hard to take some garlic off of a menu item. My wife would also have happily skipped the fresh garlic items. I guess these tapas aren't made to order(?), and with the cost of the package you would think they would have the ability to tweak some things, as in the past. What gives? What changed? It is horrible business and for that I'll leave one star this. Beware before booking in.

When Highway 4 shut down due to the wildfires, we had to re-plan our wedding in 4 (four) days and Tigh-Na-Mara turned a stressful situation into an incredible experience and a wonderful wedding! Jackie responded quickly to our inquiry and connected us with vendors and then Carly took care of the rest! They were very responsive and kind and ensured we had the most amazing wedding. Carly put in some extra hours for us to ensure we had everything taken care of and to put our minds at ease. Honestly, if we were to do it all over, we would've just booked our wedding there in the first place! The venue is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the people there are amazing.

My husband and I recently had our wedding celebration at Tigh Na Mara. We couldn’t have asked a more wonderful experience. Not only is the location stunning, but the staff were considerate, timely and incredibly kind. We thank Jackie and her team immensely for making our experience so enjoyable.
