4.5/5Wow! These tacos were an explosion of mouthwatering flavours and textures… Hands down the best I’ve had in town thus far.We tried the Ceviche Del Dia, which was okay. Nothing particularly special about this dish, but the chips were fresh and very good.For tacos, we tried the Carnitas on soft tortillas and the Pollo Tinga on hard shells . Both were great with a wonderful combination of garnishes and sauces. My personal favourite was the Pollo Tinga as it had a good bite to it and the guacamole on the side was nice.It’s a small and very busy restaurant with dimmed lighting and a cozy feel. The older gentleman (bartender) who served us was attentive and friendly. I’d definitely return!

A nice Mexican restaurant. The food was good, tacos of carnitas and the flautas were really tasty. Music was too loud for a conversation. Service was okey.

Highly recommend the Flautas ; tangy , savory and sweet all in one bite . Absolutely delish ! —— The Tres Leches pictured is without the Cinnamon dust . The sweet condensed milk is definitely decant.

This place by far has one of the top 3 fish taco I have ever tried.• Fish taco: I ordered Ubereats but when it arrives the fish was still crispy. I really like how they season it and love the sauce. The portion is pretty good with great amount of veggies. I was quite full with only 3 pieces of tacos and didn't have to eat or drink anything else.I saw the lobster taco on the menu and definitely will come back to try.

Delicious, a must try taco joint in the city. The Guacamole and corn was absolutely delicious, very fresh. The fried fish tacos were so big (which you think would be a good thing) it was honestly difficult to eat and wish we ordered the grilled option instead

Wonderful service - we came in without a reservation and the host squeezed us in! Order-to-table took under 15 minutes - we were very surprised as to how quickly they were able to make such delicious food!The burrito was pretty good - I’ve had better down by the border, but for as far north as Playa Cabana is located, you can’t get much better than this! I loved that my burrito had both sauce options on a half, so that I could try both (the green sauce was my preference, but they were both delicious!)The kitchen was very receptive to removing some unwanted toppings/fillings from my burrito. I do wish I would have opted for the tacos rather than the burrito - the table next to us had them and they looked to DIE for.Their eclectic, but well thought-out decor adds to the vibe of the restaurant. While it definitely is small, they make great use of the space and I was able to carry a pleasant conversation as it wasn’t too loud.The experience could have been improved by having some ice in the water (ours was pretty lukewarm) and complimentary chips, but overall, I would definitely recommend taking the time to stop by Playa Cabana if you’re in the mood for some fresh Mexican eats!

Best tacos I've ever had! Braised beef tacos were packed with flavour, and the taco shells were nice and crispy. The staff are also very friendly and make you feel welcome! Definitely coming back here!

This is my second time going to Playa Cabana and both times the food has been delicious! This time we got the elotes, vegetarian empanadas and al carbon tacos, all of which were delicious. The elotes were a stand out, and the value of the empanadas was incredibly worth it! I recommend booking a reservation as the restaurant is quite small. Overall, this is a great gem in the area and I would go back!
