Dr. Kaisra Esmail - Eye Physician and Surgeon

Dr Esmail is fantastic. I have been trying to get answers as to why my vision is double and blurry for the last 3 months. I've had a TON of tests done (optometrist 3x, doctor 2x, CT scan, seeing a different ophthalmologist first etc) and kept being told everything was normal etc. I finally got to see Dr. Esmail and she picked up on something right away and we have a direction to get a diagnosis!!!! I walked out of her office feeling heard and believed which was a huge relief.I HIGHLY recommend her. She is so friendly and thorough. I'm so glad I am connected to her now!!!

Dr Esmail has been my eye physician and surgeon now for some months. During this period she has completed surgery for Cataracts on both eyes. She has also been treating me for dry eye.Dr Esmail handled my anxiety for the surgery with amazing compassion and professionalism!I am so grateful to have such an awesome surgeon!Thank you to her and her staff! 5 stars!

Dr. Esmail saved my sight! I will forever be greatful. My experience of her was that she was genuine, compassionate and gifted in her field of expertise.On a Friday afternoon (after being referred to her by Red Deer hospital E.R.) Dr. Esmail immediately identified what was going on in my body and communicated to me the severity of my health crisis; she then worked tirelessly to advocate for me to receive emergency surgery. She stayed on the phone for hours until she could ensure I would get proper care. The next morning after my surgery, I was informed that had I not received the surgery when I did, I would have lost my sight in the next 12-24 hours and it would have turned life threatening if unaddressed. I credit Dr. Esmail as being key in the preservation of sight and my overall health and am so thankful.

My husband was referred to her by our family doctor and was diagnosed with cataracts after being misdiagnosed by a optometrist last year. He was impressed by her and all of the staff and is very happy with the eye sight in the first eye and is waiting for the second surgery. Highly recommended!!!!

I now have 20/20 vision. Cataracts done in March and April 2023 two weeks apart. Surgery is fast, painless, recovery time 2 days. Amazing what I can see, seeing things so clearly (individual spruce needles, tree leaves, tv is so clear & sharp). Very professional and caring. I highly recommend her.

The wait time to get an appointment was really long, but it’s like that everywhere right now in AB. Overall I felt the service was good, though when the Dr. came to see me it did feel very rushed. Pleased with the outcome though and the office is clean/well maintained.

I was referred to Dr Esmail by my optometrist. She said she knew nothing about her but if I was open to going to someone new she would refer me. I am so happy I did. I was in for my appointment within a couple of weeks...My surgery on the first eye is done and I already have the second one scheduled. The staff at the clinic, the surgical staff and Dr Esmail are fantastic. Communication is great! Highly recommended!

I was there when they first opened. I've had serious eye issues for years. I felt like she didn't listen or care. It was very disorganized. I wont go back.

Dr. Kaisra Esmail and her team are fantastic. So professional, reassuring, and welcoming. She takes time, answers questions, I completely relaxed and trusted her! And now I have 20/20 vision!!!! I highly recommend Dr. Esmail. Central Alberta is lucky to have her.

I was referred to Dr. Kaisra Esmail by my Optometrist as the first Ophthalmologist he referred me to dropped the ball. She took the time to diagnose my problem. She is very kind and very thorough. The front office staff are pleasant and I was in at my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Esmail is new to Red Deer and I suspect she will be very successful.
