Karls Place

My 1 year old boy will never be returning to Karl's. When you trust that your furbaby will be taken care of 100%, and you feel good because of all those happy puppy pictures splattered on facebook, be cautious. Sadly, I would not recommend this place. They are maxed and taking on way too much, at the expense of the health and safety of your pup.

We have used Karl’s Place multiple times. However, after our latest stay, we will not be going back.During our latest stay, our dog was injured due to the new gravel play area the dogs play in. When we arrived to pay and pickup, we were not advised that our dog was hurt or had hurt herself. She was hurt on day 1 of her 3 day stay and Karl’s placed never said a word to us. When we picked her up, she was in visible pain while walking.When we got home, we checked her out and found all of her paws to be swollen, peeling and marked up. This was from running around on the large, sharp gravel in the play area. A quick search on the internet shows that this shouldn’t be used as a play area. I sent an email to Karl’s to ask him why they never told us that our dog was hurt while under their care and he obviously lied and said they didn’t notice. (Karl’s post daily photos of the dogs which showed her in the play area trying not to put weight on her paws)

Have been bringing our dog Chip there, he's always excited to go, and out of energy when he gets home. :) Staff is friendly and the facilities are clean and well maintained.

Mike and his staff are the best!!! We were unfortunately booted out of our last place, being told our dog has behavioral" problems who needed a specialist. Despite socializing and training as recommended and as we were supposed to!! We were left to feel as though we failed our dog for 2yrs!! Day 2 in daycare at Karl's Place and the staff had him playing with multiple

Karls Place is amazing!! Complete peace of mind when I need to go away and can’t take my boy with me. The owners are wonderful and take pride in what they do.Thanks for taking such good care of my Joey.

Let me start this off by saying that before the last visit where i had left my dog for a stay for a week, i thought this place was great. With all the pictures and picturesque moments caught on camera it made my mind feel at ease leaving my dog with caring people. Because thats all you would wish for is for your dog to be safe. Well the last visit, that i had already felt terrible for leaving my little buddy behind for a week of vacation. My fiance and i had my mother-in-law pick up our dog and when we had got home from the air port it had looked as if my dog was i a dog fighting ring for the week. Ive never seen so many tooth marks and scatrches in my life. The one i was the most concerned about was the inch wide infected egg on his neck with a perfect canine tooth hole that was outstandingly present right in the center of it. Which we had already spent enough money for the week keeping him there. We had to have an emergency vet visit for antibiotics which wasn't cheap either. I had polietly asked one of the owners mike if we could at least have that much back for our troubles and his response is now why i will be doing more research into where jones will now be staying instead of Karls place. Our dog loves Karl’s place. He is always excited to go and tired when he gets home. And the daily pictures are the best part…especially when you are missing your fur baby!

I have taken my pup here a couple of times and while he can be a little difficult to handle Mike has never complained and always received us with a smile. Most recently, we left him there for an over night stay and he was sent home with a surprise of the most ADORABLE Christmas glamour picture and a dog treat that looked so good I had to check it was for the dog! I have struggled through the years to find a reasonably priced kennel that takes great care in their work and I'm so happy to have started going to Karl's Place <3

Karl's Place is excellent! I originally brought my 5 month old puppy there due to issues with separation anxiety and am I glad I did. Mike was excellent and answered all my questions prior to bringing my puppy. My pup LOVES going. The staff are always friendly and I love that they post pictures of the dogs during the day so I can see my pup making friends and enjoying the day!
