This is such a difficult review to write as I absolutely adore my doctor. Dr. Kahlon has been fantastic, and I have seen him for so many years. I really do wish he would find a better clinic to work with, because I really dread having to book an appointment with him. It causes so much stress and anxiety. In reality, I should have written this years ago. However, I was just hung up on by someone this morning and that was my breaking point. And just getting through today was a total nightmare! My call was disconnected or picked up and then just hung right up (you could hear this happening ugh!!!) at least six or seven times before someone actually answered the call! The office staff is incredibly rude. They are demeaning and short-tempered. They will allow your call to sit on hold until you give up and hang up. They make constant errors when booking referral appointments, faxing bloodwork requisitions, or any other crucial office procedures that need to be done correctly the first time. I have had to have bloodwork unnecessarily redone. I have had appointments booked for me outside of my city after requesting appointments in Abby. I have been talked down to, treated badly, hung up on... and here in BC we do not have the luxury of changing our GP, even if we want to. It's depressing. I don't know about the other doctors here but if you are still at the point you have a choice a advise to go somewhere where the staff have empathy, competency and compassion. You only see the doctor for a few minutes, it is the staff who you deal with the majority of the time and who are disclosing you info, booking your specialist appointments and sending off your requisitions. It is disheartening and also time consuming to deal with the staff here, and this problem has been going on for so many years I just don't know what to do. So, I figured at least if I shared this ongoing upsetting and potentially dangerous experience, it could help someone else.

Great doctors. However they close at 3:30. Most of us work till five, it would be great if they were open 1 night a week.

The doctor I saw was very good. He made time for me knowing my diagnosis. Very personal and will work with a patient on their path back to healthy. My issue is the business office. Let's just say if you need to cancel an appointment make sure you get it in writing. I've been told they won't book any further appointments for me unless I pay for the missed visit that I cancelled - IN PERSON. Can't even get a conversation with the doctor to explain this ... I know he would make it right if he knew. I wonder if the doctors realize this is happening? Heaven forbid their staff has made a mistake. Only peoples' mental health well-being at stake.

My physician is Dr L. Vlckova. I’ve been her patient for more than ten years and have always found her to be supportive, professional and highly skilled. I’ve also found the Cannon clinic staff to be respectful and efficient.

Was trying to book with Dr. Vulkova and booked a phone appointment between 10:30-11 she never phoned me and when I phoned the receptionist she was so rude to me. I explained that I was quite frustrated that no one had phoned and instead of apologizing she hung up on me! Do not recommend Dr.Vulkovas office.

My family doctor recently retired and my new doctor refuses to do paps, so they had to make me an appointment with someone else. First, what kind of doctor refuses something as simple and necessary as a pap? Second get a voicemail please. Your clients should be able to leave a voicemail to have someone call them back for an appointment.Edit:I'm dropping this to a 1 star review. I don't know what is going on there but there is obviously a huge communication issue. Twice now I've been told someone would call me back to make an in person appointment, and twice when I called after a week of hearing nothing the receptionist says Oh there is nothing in your file about it". Yesterday while I was waiting for my appointment I hear from behind the desk "oh is she here? I had no idea" after I had been checked in by another staff member and had been there for 10 minutes. Your lack of effort and communication between the doctors and receptionists is affecting your patients health

I was a patient of Cannon Clinic for 40 years - my doctor retired so I was handed off to another GP there. The quality of care dropped sharply - then I heard from a friend that the GP I was seeing left - no communication to me about this. I was told no one else could take me as a patient. Fast forward to today when I found out that they have new doctors and one was taking new patients - why would they not at least contact previous patients to at least give them the option to see one of the new doctors. Complete breakdown there - so maddening. Turns out she is no longer taking patients - very poor way to treat folks.

I cannot agree more with the reviewers, who have commented on Cannon Clinic's receptionist/medical office assistants. They are so rude. In fact, they act as though the patient has to walk on egg shells or else they won't be provided with service.When calling to make an appointment one of the doctors there it takes more than eight rings to answer the phone by someone egregiously impolite. When you try to fax them nothing gets through.I seriously hope that management/doctors at that Clinic provide their MoA's with patient service training.If the MoA's do not like their jobs, then they should seek employment elsewhere. I can also understand that they may get rude patients and have a lot to deal with but as a patient I go there to receive medical care not obnoxious treatment.Please care for us.

A few days ago I had an appointment over the phone with doctor, I only needed blood-thinning medication, So the prescription was to be sent to my pharmacy by doctor. So the next day I went for the pills and the pharmacist said there was no fax nor email from the doctor for any medications for me. And unfortunately" contact with the clinic was impossible because it was too late. In this story

I am so glad it's not just me. Really who cares about the new building! The office staff here are a nightmare. They make a lot of careless mistakes and they are not nice. My doctor is fine, I feel like the care he provides is adequate however it will take me on average a half a dozen tries of calling and having the phone hung up in my ear before someone actually says hello! And several staff have actually hung up on me during phone calls. This has been going on since long before they moved into their bright new building". In BC if you have a family doctor you are not allowed to change to a new one. I suffer from anxiety and this has caused me to have issues with being able to reach out to call my doctor office. I just can't. The online booking doesn't work most of the time
