Hidden inside HSBC Pacific Rim Mall next to Liuyishou Hotpot, this place is definitely a hidden gem in Edmonton chinatown. With recent changes of ownership, I’ve been waiting past the pandemic to finally see this place open up when it opened up on Fantuan! It is Chengdu, Sichuan style Mala numbing spicy skewers 麻辣串串！Authentic experience with the fragrant oil & spicy dry dipping sauces. Broth was flavourful and extremely tasty! Although they were revamping the Chinese menu in English, they were happy to explain and let us know what was good to order. They tailored our experience to ensure we could manage the spice. We also tried their garlic fried pork belly, salivating spicy chicken and ice jelly dessert 冰粉. They provided us excellent service to provide us all the dishes and gifted us several items including fried pork popcorn 小蘇肉 that is a traditional side dish while enjoying hotpot skewers.A definitely enjoyable experience! Plenty of parking in the back of the mall, although the entrance is only located at the front. Cute ambience decorated with small pandas - a tribute to the panda province Chengdu, and nostalgic chinatown wallpaper. A place for foodies that come for the quality of the food! Recommend to order the 1-2 or 3-4 person combos in large parties to try all for a great price!

Had a warm cozy meal with new friends. Staff were friendly and accommodating, ingredients were fresh, soup base was authentic (from Chengdu, hometown of the pandas), and the decor was very fitting. Would recommend!When ordering, you get to pick your soup base, what you want to eat, and your seasoning.There’s a wide ranges of soup bases available but for groups, we usually order a split bowl, allowing us one spicy and one non spicy soup base.Food options are generally categorized into your meats, veggies and carbs (ie noodles), with meats ranging from marinated generic cuts, to meatballs and chicken hearts (which are worth trying).They have two seasoning options - a wet dip with a sesame oil base and a dry (rub?) that looks more spicy than it actually is. This is for your food after it’s cooked for a little extra kick!
